“3rd stay, coming back for more.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Enjoyed the hotel and all the entertainment.
Great location just 5 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the port.
Took a visit to the Port, plenty of restaurants, bars and stalls.
There are daytime activities provided round the pool during the day
Fail to understand the bad reviews of this hotel as we have never had a problem. Make use of the safe which cost 48 EURO of which 10 EUR you receive back when you check out.
All the staff once again provided a friendly helpful service. always works with a smile on their face and are also very good with the Children.
the live shows wasn't the best apart from the comedian called George what a guy! And also the show Xerox.
All ages are catered for, from a mini children s disco, bingo and then a nightly show.,Xerox and George Pena are two acts not to be missed.
Overall. Great location for families, staff was amazing, which gave my dad a piece of mind if he went to the shops and i didn't want to go, we knew we could trust the staff, also some of our friends we met last year was there which made it a grand holiday !!!!
We would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Missing the place already and want to be back asap!

Room Tip: The rooms facing AWAY from the pool tend to be just as noisy, but you get better sleep if you tend t...

We returned home on the 17th August after a 2 week stay and again my family had an excellent time at the Delfin, making the return to normal harder.

We were recognised as regular visitors to the hotel by some of the staff. Pep in the resauraunt again provided a friendly helpful service. always works with a smile on his face and he is also very good with the Children.

The evening entertainment provided was again of an exceptional standard. All ages are catered for, from a mini childrens disco, bingo and then a nightly show. Ancora, Xerox and George Pena are three acts not to be missed.

The rooms again are cleaned daily. we were pool side on the 5th floor (excellent view).

Fail to understand the bad reviews of this hotel as we have never had a problem. Make use of the safe which cost 48 EURO of which 10 EUR you receive back when you check out. (You leave items of value out then sorry, I feel there is no one else to blame but yourselves if things go missing).

We also hired a fridge for our stay this year which costs 3.50 a day.

There are daytime activities provided round the pool during the day, but we tended to stay at the superb beach with sunbeds available at Eur 4.50.

Took a visit to the Port, plenty of restaurants, bars and stalls.

We would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Missing the place already and want to be back asap!

I went to Hotel Delfin Azul with my mother and my 13 year old daughter for two weeks. It was our first time in the hotel and it was a very average stay. The hotel itself is perfectly located it's near to the beach , local restaurants and shops. Alcudia is a beautiful resort with glorious beaches, historic old town and trendy port with plenty to do.

The biggest complaint of our stay was the pool. It was far to small for the amount of people staying in the hotel. The pool side area was also to small and there is no privacy because the extremely uncomfortable sunbeds were very close together. Trying to get a sun bed was an absolute joke because in a 14 day stay we only managed to get a sunbed on three occasions. Therefore, we went to the beach instead and it was much better.

The food was perfectly adequate with soup to start every evening. There was plenty of salad for a healthy option. There was a fish and meat choice every evening. However my only complaints would be the meals are repetitive by the second week, the cleanliness of the food as children sneezed on it and the unusual serving vegetables such as sprouts in lumpy butter.

My teenage daughter's only complaint would be the very expensive prices of wifi. It cost 20 euros for a week so that would mean paying 40 euros for a 14 day holiday. So it resulted to her using computers by the reception area which cost 1 euro for 12 minutes and 2 euros for half an hour.

We would definitely go back to Alcudia but not in this hotel.

Just returned from a brilliant week in alcudua, this been our first trip to the hotel and resort didn't know what to except, so we was pleasantly surprised.the hotel was what you expect for a three star, basic, clean but a little dated in the rooms. The location was amazing ,a two minute walk to the beach, which was beautiful very child friendly, clean and plenty to do.it was only a five minute walk to the main belle vue strip where there is lots to see with things for the kids , shopping and bars ,restaurants and entertainment. The hotel had things for the kids during the day and evening too , the live shows wasn't the best apart from the comedian called George what a guy !!! The food was good what you got but didn't have a lot of choice , was there seven days and had pork or fish every night, the kids had a better selection, which I think everyone had in the whole of the hotel.A visit to the pirates adventure in magaluf us will worth a visit ,food was good and unlimited beer, sangriaand soft drinks all night.the hotel had kids pony rides that went down really well, the parrot and reptile shows need updating a little boring even to a five year old , says something. Overall. Great location for families, food prepare to eat out if you don't like pork every night.beach amazing, a good holiday !!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view if you want sun all day .keep the patio doors shut for air conditioning to work...

back today from Delfin Azul, 3rd time at hotel in the last 4 years, had a great stay, food good, rooms nice and clean, staff all really helpful and cheerful, must give a mention to Pep the restaurant manager, always a cheerful smile and hello to all of his restaurant guests. Went to Hidropark, 22 euro for an adult and 16 euro for a child also 4.50 euro for a sunbed, and is only a 10 minute walk from hotel, had a great day there, but food is expensive.
Sunbeds on beach also 4.50 euro each, sea is lovely and warm this time of year.I will say that overall I thought all prices for drinks etc had risen in Alcudia, typically paying 3.50 to 4 euro for a vodka and coke, even the supermarkets were a lot more expensive.Found the drink prices at the hotel quite reasonable compared to other places we went to for drinks. Found Palma airport food prices a rep off on our return journey.
We keep returning to the Delfin Azul because it is a value for money affordable family holiday, it has a great location just across the road from the beach and about a 15 minute stroll to the port of Alcudia, the same staff are there year after year and always to their best to make us feel welome.

Room Tip: stayed on 4th floor wil pool view, which we got free of charge, it can be noisy at night with the en...

The Hotel Delfin Azul is a reasonably priced holiday hotel. The building itself is beginning to show signs of its age but is clean and well maintained although the lifts are desperately in need of replacement. The rooms are adequate and the air conditioning works well, but bathrooms are a little old fashioned.

The Restaurant is buffet style and after a few days the range of foods becomes familiar to the point of boredom, but it is well cooked and presented. The breakfast appears more geared to continental style than full English.

Evening entertainment is generally okay, with a good range of acts to suit most age groups and daytime activities include quizzes, sporting challenges (nothing too strenuous) and kid's stuff. I understand the hotel is to be refurbished and this is something that will be both welcome and long overdue.

The staff are friendly and the only shortcoming is that the hotel is by a main road. For football fans there is a bar around the corner called The Foxes Arms with an impressive display of Leicester City shirts through the years, and many other team shirts as well.

We (2 adults and 2 boys aged 6 and 8) stayed at the Delfin Azul between 10th and 17th August and were really happy with the hotel. The rooms were clean, staff were helpful and friendly and the pool is a decent size with a small kids area aswell. There was plenty of food choices at breakfast and dinner although slightly limited for vegetarians as most salads contained meat or fish. The entertainment in the evening was also very enjoyable with activities for the kids and decent tribute acts most nights . The hotel is also close to the beach, the main shops/bars in Alcudia and also only a 10 minute walk to Hidropark which is a good fun day out. We had a great time and would certainly go back to this hotel.
