if you are ever on alcudia beach watch out for a company called 'alcudia jets' and stay well away!We had booked a trip to see the dolphins for my 14 year old daughters birthday, it cost 600 euros for 4 of us to go out on 2 jets skis for 3 hours. we were provided with a life jacket each but weren't told how to use the jet skis at all. I had never rode a jet ski before so my 11 year old son drove and I sat behind him and my husband drove the other one with my daughter behind. There were another 6 jetskis on the trip and we were told to keep in a cresant formation. There was a instructor at the front who speak little English and one at the back who spoke not one word. Whilst we were still in alcudia bay the water was very calm and flat but as soon as we were out past the headline the waves were humongous. My husband has had jet skis for 20 years and he found it extremely scary and challenging! My son wanted to swap round because he was to scared to carry on driving the jet ski, we were told too turn the engine off whilst swapping over so we tried to but it wouldn't turn off! We were so far out you could see no land at all just open sea, after looking for the dolphins for way over an hour the instructor said im sorry there are no dolphins this has never happened. That is when you start to realise that you were getting conned. Then he said we will go to the underwater caves for the second part of the trip, we were another half an hour on the jet skis until we arrived. When we did the 2 instructors spent half an hour tieing the jet skis together with ropes they then said we could go in the sea, I asked do we need are life jackets? how far is it? he then said its up to you and swam of with the other instructor. there was a lady in the water and my son jumped in to go to the jet ski that my husband and daughter were on to get his mask and snorkel. All the sudden this women started screaming! she quickly swam back to her jet ski and she had been stung by a jellyfish, there was nobody there to help or tell us what to do. Another 5 people got stung by jellyfish, one man got stung around his neck and it was a pretty bad sting! When we got back we identified the jelly fish as mauve stingers. On the way back a rescue boat came out and got a little boy and his mum. When we got back to the beach we had been out for 4 and a half an hours. Before we went we were told to put all our valubles in a metal box thing and when we got back one family had all there stuff stolen.
