Stayed at the Viva in July in a 2 bed apartment overlooking the childrens playarea and kiddies pool. Have to agree with a previous reviewer in the remarks made about the entertainment - it really was rubbish. That for us was the only downfall. Never ate in the main restaurant but it was always quiet which spoke volumes - the pool/snack bar however was lovely both by day and in the evening when the tables were laid with linen tablecloths and the a la carte menu came out. Supermarket big and well stocked. Whole place super clean! Plenty of entertaiment for kids, teenagers and adults during the day. Out bedrooms were quite small but the living area was roomy. Air con a blessing! Sliders to balcony do not open from outside so beware if planning to sit out for a while! Loads of umbrellas by the beds at the pool which got handy when it was very hot. Reception staff very efficient. Lots of dutch and some Germans there. Also good few Irish/Northern Irish bur very few English! Only 5 min walk to the beach. Portofino restaurant near the Boccachio Hotel do lovely pasta! Also in the port of Alcudia a chinese called The Villa and next door a tex mex place called Dakota are both worth checking out. Will be recommending the Viva Sunrise to anyone thinking of going to Majorca!

we went to viva sunrise the first 2 weeks in july. i was surpprised as it is stated as a 3 star property and yet its better than most 4 stars on the island, i should know i ve stayed in most of them! the appartment is basic but spotless clean and the pillows are very comfy as you dont often get comfortable bedding in spain, the grounds are lovley with a new kids pool area which is in itself 5 star in fact, i will let you in on a little secret i learned while i was there that is it has been already upgraded to a 4 star for next year with only the facilities in the rooms left to be upgraded, so if you have booked already your in or a treat.in my opinion the main restaurant is very poor the food in it is sparse and the buffet can only be described as slop, im sorry but it has to be said, the snack bar is however the saving grace as the food here is up to a resonable standard, the waiters are very slow and a waiter called Xisco was appalling to the customers so advoid him at all times, he is one of the staff that needs to go if viva sunrise is to hold on to the number one slot on trip advisor, he is awfull to little kids thank god i have no small children as he can be very abrupt with them and he is obnoxious to adults too, a few people there complained of him throwing the food on the table and when they complained to reception they were told that he was very stressed! send him packing then let him be stressed in his home not on other peoples holidays.viva sunrise cannot be that short staffed that they would ruin their reputation with an ignorant man like Xisco.the only other complaint i have is that the entertainment staff are the worst i have seen on any holiday they are rude and the shows they put on are very poor, the flying team that comes in twice a week to do saturday night fever and we will rock you are very good thank goodness otherwise we would have died of boardom,viva sunrise is risking their reputation again if this level of sevice is all they can supply as entertainment for its guest, i would sack the lot of them they re exstreamly poor entertainers as a team.so i will give viva sunrise 80 out o 100 on marks, points taken away for the bad waiter Xisco and the very poor entertainment team, other than that viva sunrise is excellent so take note viva hotels and keep up the good work.

Have read all the good reviews of Viva Sunrise here and I can only say I wasn't dissapointet.
The rooms are very usable and clean. It seems like everything is in control and the people working at the hotel are very professionel and helpfull.
There is a pool for every age - from 0 to adult. The disco for the kids is also very fun and we went every night!
We where on halfboard and the food was very good. Not too much but it was very tasty.

Would choose Viva Sunrise again if I was going to Alcudia.

We stayed at Viva sunrise for 2 weeks and I can honestly say it exeeded our expecations. We took our 2 year old son and found the facilities excellent and the staff very pleasant. It looked as if the complex had recently undergone refurbishment as every part of the room and grounds were immaculate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Viva Sunrise to anyone wanting to visit Mallorca.
