We booked this on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews and were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the service we were given. The restaurant building is very pretty for sure. When we first called we were told they were booked out and we'd have to book in advance, although they were pretty empty at the time. So we reserved for a weekend night. On our arrival, there was nobody at the desk or in the restaurant, we had to wander around to the kitchen to find somebody to serve us. That was the first bit that didn't fit with the price range and review of the restaurant. Next, the bread rolls that came to the table were something akin to something from a service station - while most of the restaurants we visited did a pretty good "pamboli", a tasty bread with oil. We chose the option of 2 courses for 33euro per head. The starters were quite tasty and certainly better than the mains on this particular night; the sea bass in crust wasn't the tastiest we've ever had and the guinea fowl was tasteless, like a dry turkey. Presentation of the fish on the plate was poor - broken white fish on a white plate. The wine was nice at 22 euro per bottle but it was placed on a far off table before they abandoned us to the meal without coming back to top us up. So we had to get up and go over and get the wine when we wanted to refill. Had they just left it on our table it would have been fine, but the ceremony of placing it on a far away one was a bit ridiculous if they weren't going to stay around to follow through and refill as needed. There was only one other table occupied on the night we were there. The staff were otherwise occupied rather than attending to the diners they had. When our taxi came, we had to go & find out if it was ours, and nobody acknowledged that we were leaving. Overall poor value for money and not a pleasant dining experience. For once, we actually didn't leave a tip.
