Pleasant location with beautiful views (but only from front facing rooms which cost 10.00 Euros per night extra (we moved from rear room after Day 2 - rear rooms have small balconies with no sun and overlook the car park or the bins!)
Decor a mismash of weird colours and tastes - stair carpets definately needs thrown our. Pool area very clean and tidy - no need to rush down to reserve seats - plenty of room in September. Food was just OK - an adequate amount but boring - we were fed up with chips every evening - has the hotel not heard of boiled potatoes ? Beds were uncomfortable - no entertainment at all in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful and could speak all European languages. Portals Nous may be described as 'sophisticated' but the beach (very small) is a long way from this hotel and from the centre of the town. The marina (where apparently the rich and famous hang out) consists of a few very overpriced shops and a lot of 'people watching' cafes which are also expensive. In spite of all of this we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. You definately need a car so that you can get out of the resort and the hotel.
