We booked an evening table on a Thursday, one other couple in the resturant, we did not mind that so much as t his Is a new takeover and resturants take time to obtain a reputation. We have eaten in resturants all over the globe and love new culinary experiences. Front of house a wonderful Scottish lady whom was very warm and accomodating, very generous on the sample wine, very nice and good value for the house white wine, olives as an appertife were fabulous. Starter, I order the Camembert which was served to me with it running all over the plate, shame as the build up I received regarding the chef ( whom had catered for Richard Branson ) was disappointing. We were both recommended salmon, my portion had broken in to pieces on the plate yes was still served to me, it was over done which was again disappointing. We will retun to portals nouse in late september, we may consider a return but less sales pitch and better quality with the food is required. If the restaurant was busy I really do not think the chef could have coped very well.
