visited hotel in june for a week for special anniversary which we enjoyed and booked to go back in july, while we were there in june we asked for either the same room in july or any of rooms the same end which the receptionist on the desk sorted straight away save us emailing them. On arrival we had a room on complete opposite end with the dreaded connecting door to next room. We went down immediately to reception and told to come back 8 o'clock next morning.the 2 female receptionists said nothing available come back 8 o'clock next morning. we went again next morning and told nothing until Thursday which was then into 3rd day of our holidays living out of a suitcase, the receptionist then told us as we had booked an upgraded room they all had adjoining doors on that floor, LIES, I told her we had stayed there 3 weeks previous on the same floor and no adjoining door, also she told us the 8th floor also had adjoining doors, LIES, they don't, she also told us we had booked a double, well Hello, here's the paperwork, a twin room was booked in January of this year. They finally moved us as the noise from the man next door playing games at 3 in the morning with the baby was awful, you can hear everything and I mean everything, I thought my hubby had got up in middle of night to make a cuppa at the bottom of the bed. Hotel is in lovely position, 3 lifts one of them was broken and still was when we left after 2 weeks and 2 were broken at the one time, the hand gels were broken and there was a ladies toilet had a leak in ceiling for 3 days and still not fixed. The food, well what can I say, we have never had a problem with tummy on holiday but we were both bad, I can put up with repetitive food as long as it is cooked properly, ok if you like sloppy pork loin, snotty eggs and don't like fresh veg and under-cooked chips that looked like they had been boiled and as for the sausages they were stewing until white in their own fat, everything seemed to be out of a tin especially the veg what there was of it We ate out a lot of the 2 weeks we were there. We sat by pool once in 2 weeks as the same saddo's and selfish ones grabbing same beds no room around pool far to small, just as well we love the beach but gets expensive.Rooms small but clean and maids very nice, also bar staff, Raitha and Muncho very nice and friendly , they were extremely hardworking and always gave excellent customer service, restaurant staff courteous and friendly. We spoke to other people at hotel and they were disgusted with food for a 4 star hotel. We stayed at Guadalupe Hotel last few years and food there is 5 star,I think a lot of it has to do with fully inclusive, cheap and very basic.Lot of older people at hotel, only stayed 3 times for entertainment which was ok once you have had a few drinks down your neck LOL, the COCOON lounge oops sorry the cocktail lounge was like a library but staff lovely.I would not go back to this hotel the only thing going for it is the sea views, beautiful.

Room Tip: upgraded rooms have same views as others not worth it, also pool view puts a smile on your face of a...

just returned from 10 days at Santa Lucia.Been before and sad to say the hotel as gone down ,Only reason for 4 star is location.Safe hire is nearly £5 a day .Travel firms should \insist this is part of basic room requirements.Security was very poor ,we asked for extra key and was just asked for room number and another key was handed over.Hotel states that it is prohibited to reserve sun beds but not policed in any way .Made various complaints about this but all fell on deaf ears .Staff watched one couple put towels on beds at 7-45am and then went on full day excursion to return about 4 pm to take up the beds.Entertainment was a strong point but now repetitive every night .Quiz,Bingo and then a very poor "main act" Think this is due to all inclusive arrangement hotel as brought in ,They know people will stay in as they have paid for drinks etc and will put up with any old rubbish .Out of the 10 days we were there one of the 3 lifts was out of action apparently awaiting "parts"for 9 of them. Shame as hotel was very good.2/3 star is max.

This is a lovely hotel, right on the beach.... Which is just as well... If you want a sun bed by the pool, be prepared to queue from about 7am until they open the doors at 8am....the pool area is too small and although there is a decked area upstairs, there are no umbrellas. There were 2 in the animation team organising the daytime and evening entertainment - Hannah was nice enough, but Matthew really needs to learn some manners. We found him quite rude and obnoxious - he really has no idea how to speak or deal with adults....
The rooms were clean and comfy, although a little dated. The food was very good, although a little repetitive at times.
Overall, this is a nice hotel in a great location. It would just be better if the sun bed/ umbrella situation was sorted, together with the entertainment team

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the newly refurbished top floors

Very basic hotel in brilliant position. Paid for superior room, very small for three people, outdated hairdryer, fridge not filled or able to get to as camp bed blocked it. Tea and coffee facilities very poor. Beds very hard, we asked for mattress toppers and had blankets put under sheet! Unable to get sunbed with parasol whole week was told people were getting up at 0630 to get one. Management need to address this. Beach extremely busy and heard that things had been stolen. Food just 3* and very limited choice. Cocktails very sickly and out of a machine. Entertainment diabolical. All English hotel and everyone very friendly including staff. Aircon noisy.

Room Tip: Don't bother with superior room. Told by reception all rooms same size.

i would like to share my views on this summer holiday.

The hotel was ideally situated near to the beach shops and bars. The staff were fantastic and helpful in everyway.

Food was brilliant, couldn't complain about that.

Hotel was lovely clean. All rooms had a sea view also.

The entertainment team Matthew and Anna, if that's how you spelt it worked so hard and was a credit to the Globals.co. and also to Thompsons. Nothing was to much for him and he helped not only abled people but disabled people. And made everyone feel welcome to the hotel.

This hotel is more for the older person, but that suited us to a "T". We would go again definitely.

Hotel is central in Palma nova & great sea view from room. Room was clean, air con worked well & all bathroom facilities good. Not very many plug sockets available & balcony on the small side. Breakfast should have been served until 1030 but they were packing up at 10. Food was very basic & not appealing, we ate out for majority of meals. Wine in hotel was so bad we couldn't drink it. Pool area was cramped and not much shade available, however there is a terrace above with more space which is good. Entertainment hit & miss, very disappointed with The Blues Bros who should not be called that, that is false advertising! Reps were always ready to help but not always accurate - we tooke a trip to the water park & rep said cab would cost 4 euros, it cost 8, he also told us not to hire a float as there were plenty available, we couldn't get one until 2pm after arriving at 10am. Hand sanitisers mostly broken in hotel. Overall, good location, good room but the food, drink & entertainment could be improved for this star rated hotel.
