had nice week here again, there have been some nice updates since our last visit, new flat screen TV`s in rooms and a new sun deck, the sad side is that there are more young groups of people in the hotel due to the rise in prices in Magaluf, we were woken up at 4.30 am when the lads returned from there night out on more than one occasion, Also singing rather loud around the pool in the afternoon, we had been going to hotel because it`s quite and mainly couples and the odd young child hope it does not change to much more oh and the new water feature out front is nice also staff still brill rooms keep clean and cleaned every day, one thing would be nice if you put a few more English channels on the TV`S we know they have them in the Globes hotel across the road.

My wife and I had a lovely six days late April/early may, check in very quick and in room within five minutes, lovely view over the seafront walkway but room,tv,safe,(not big enough for I pad or laptop,Thomson please take note),very dated, but public areas, bars, restaurant etc very nice.We were half board and food was very good with plenty choice for breakfast, and evening meal, drinks prices reasonable and good choice of cocktails for the ladies but all inclusive would be better value.Great location between two lovely beaches with lots of good bars and restaurants about.Pool area was good also and no problem with sun beds this time of year but would be in demand during peak season.Staff were all helpful and friendly.Bingo and cabaret every night if you like that form of entertainment, some acts better than others, would not hesitate to return to this hotel again as is in a great location and also 25/30 minutes from Palma city and airport.

Just back home after a 12 day stay at this hotel. Overall our experience was positive. We checked in very easily and were given a pool-facing room as requested. It was quite small but very clean and adequate. The views from the balcony were fabulous. We found the food to be good with plenty of choice. I'm not sure what some people expect but you would have to be very fussy if you couldn't find something. All the staff were pleasant and friendly, from reception to bar and dining room staff. Special mention must go to our chambermaid (room 512), she was lovely. The little shop in the foyer is very handy for newspapers and bottled water and it was cheaper in there than most of the shops. The shows in the evenings were good although you have to be in the bar in good time to get a seat.
Now for the negatives. The entertainment staff didnt seem to have much idea. I would hardly call "stretching" and "hoops" the best things to be doing on holiday! They are probably very nice young people but to my mind were letting the hotel down and could do with someone to show them how it should be done. The reps I suppose were okay but they also seemed to be lacking in enthusiasm. Maybe the age of most of the guests had something to do with this! Lastly our biggest gripe would have to be the price of hiring the room safe and fridge. For both it would have been the best part of £100........with no refund at the end. This really is quite excessive and something we decided against, mainly on principle.
To sum up........This hotel is good value, in a fabulous position and if you dont mind fighting for a sunbed it could be for you, especially if you're of a certain age............

Room Tip: Pool-facing rooms on higher floors have the best views

Stayed here for a 4 day break in May, had a nice time, food very nice no complaints, staff very friendly. Pool area very small but there is a sun terrace aswell, beach right next to hotel and the beach is lovely. Room ok just in need of lick of paint to brighten them up. Loads of shops and bars right outside and lovely walk long beach. We went half board but decided to upgrade to all inclusive for €18 each day per person, works out so much cheaper as a diet coke was €3, Tia Maria €5....only thing I did not like was at the bar ...great big area for paying guests for their drinks and half the area for all inclusive guests. Also no towel hire but on the whole lovely few days.

Just back today after a stay and cruise .After reading some negative reviews I was a bit worried about choosing the Santa Lucia .I need not have worried .Ok the room wasn't plush ,it was clean the beds were comfy, the people friendly. The food was great and it was hot ,So anygood choices, and you had a bit where you got food freshly cooked ,my husband had steak ,he was impressed. The staff were welcoming .At night the entertainment was fantastic every night .Ok one act wasn't brilliant but they wasn't unbearable ,and you got one game only of bingo which you could tolerate ,they have to cater for everyone.Dont worry about staying here its fantastic .Its on the beach ,location for buses ,shops and bars all near ,and it wasn't noisy .And to top it off or second week was brilliant on the cruise roun the med .Highly recommend .

Room Tip: Rooms 414 and 415 look towards the beach and are quiet

Wonderful location on the beach and shops are just accross the road from the front entrance. Hotel very clean, all staff helpful and friendly. Food, now this is the high point - it was fabulous, so much choice and beautifully presented. I wanted to eat everything so as not to appear greedy I had small portions of everything! Yes there is still a shop which hires out kettles or towels also sells bottled water so don't go lugging heavy bottles in from the town when you can get it there at the same price. We did have a problem with our room which had an adjoining room. Occupants 1 child and 2 adults who were heavy smokers and all very noisy. We put towels over the half inch gap under the adjoining door to stop the smoke but it did nothing for the noise so we went straight to reception who gave us a new room. No problem from then on. Entertainment was poor, we expected some Spanish dancing but all we got was a group of WI ladies doing line dancing. Magaluf was more entertaining just a short walk. My apologies to the young men when I passed on the final score of the football match between Man City-v- Wigan. It was not 6 -1 it was 0-1. Sorry I need new glasses!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking sea are cooler during day as sun does not shine directly onto balcony until after...
