Arrived 24th September. Not worthy of a 4* and other guests we spoke to were in agreement. The 'hot' food was not always hot enough, had to use the microwave on one occasion, went to use it again but unplugged and rather limited in selection, did not enjoy their seafood paella, the small prawns still had their shells on amongst all the other ingredients, and some of their fish meals still had their bones intact. The salad/cooked meat/cheeses etc. were good. Desserts/fresh fruit was also good (glad we did NOT go for All Inclusive as we believe they did not serve any snacks). On arrival air conditioning was not working, but immediately fixed. There was no fridge to keep drinks cool apparently these were removed?? There were ants in our room and balcony (on 6th floor),the room was sprayed by housekeeper. The water pressure had to be adjusted due to shower water going from scalding hot to cold, not pleasant especially when under it. We found the heated indoor pool and looked forward to using this but found out it was not in use until later in the year,'On The Beach' did not state this on their description plus ' 2 magnificent outdoor pools' in description was a little exaggerated, and now looking at the Delpin Playa's own website that says 'Choose from the outdoor pool or the indoor pool ' . The bigger pool looks a lot larger in the photo however this was fine apart from the leaves/seeds/flies dropping into the water (just breath through your nose, not your mouth) and the smaller pool is a very small paddling pool. On arrival we were given the opportunity of a one off payment to partake of unlimited drinks (wine/beer) only whilst eating in the restaurant, however some of the other guests was not aware of this. Entertainment consisted of one night of Flamenco dancing which was cancelled. We was not aware of this until we purchased our drinks from the bar and waited, after around 40mins. I enquired at reception and was told it had been cancelled. We asked why was this not publicised earlier and Neus? (girl reception) said the previous reception staff forgot to let guests know, ok pass the blame. We think there was a women their a couple of nights trying to encourage guests to participate in dancing to music. Hotel reception was helpful but there was lack of information publicising alternative entertainment, events and services. Majority of restaurant staff didn't really look to be very happy, the reception, maintenance, housekeeper and manager seemed fine. Would we go there again? No. I will say that I emailed about a week or so in advance (a tip given, thank you) and requested a room with a sea view on the 6th floor which we did have, it was a lovely view. Away from the hotel, Palmanova was a busy area with nice views and plenty of bars and restaurants but little entertainment. Nice for walking, buses available to go to Palma and other area's. Tourist Info. office across from the hotel. Weather was lovely, dry and up to 34C.
