“Will be back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

stayed at the Bermudas Hotel from 24th September 2013 The hotel is very clean, food is good, some of the staff are friendly, some have not yet learned to smile, animation team are quite good, they work hard to keep you entertained, the lunchtime exercise in the pool is not to be missed, but the bingo is. Just a couple of minor gripes, the ar con is turned off at the beginning of September, this leaves you with just the fan, which is useless, the room was stifling and we were sat on the balcony most of the nights because sleep was impossible due to the heat, we had a few impromptu meetings with other guests on there balconies usually in the early hours of the morning as they could not sleep either for the same reason. We had no problem with the French we treated them exactly the same wayas they treated us, Take note there is no free Wi-Fi it is rather expensive at 24 euros per week, especially as most of the other hotels and bars offer it free. and my final gripe the tv or lack of it, it is situated high up the wall near to the ceiling in fact so high my wife nor I could reach it to turn it on, and the screen is so tiny we didn't bother trying to stand on the chair to turn it on. Apart from that we really did enjoy our stay and would definatley go back. The overall experience of this hotel was very very good.

Room Tip: pool view is a must

Agree with most of the reviews
if booking try to get a room overlooking pool maybe you would get a better nights sleep ,due to music from local bars till the early hours.
Staff all friendly , rooms cleaned
Would be nice to have FREE WIFI & Fridge in room.
Disappointed with the snacks though out the day only got stale crisps, biscuits and cold meats , stayed all inclusive else where and got burgers, toasties, chips etc
Meals would benefit from a wider choice more English dishes Please, stayed 10 nights and had a good holiday , would look to stay again

Room Tip: ask for a pool view maybe quite

checked in and thought it wasnt to bad, soon had that thought altered. No air conditioning, even though the daily temps were hitting 90. could grow tomatoes in the room ! kept awake half the night by the local bars etc, plus the heat, asked for a room on the other side of the hotel, which was quieter, but had to pay an extra 30 euros, (robbed)
the place is full of geriatric french spooning coffee out of bowls after dipping bread or croissants into it, food is nothing short of disgusting, and cold at that, (i mean, who wants pig trotters for lunch) which then got turned into pork stew when they didnt get eaten GROSS!!
the hotel is run by none other than Basil Faulty ! a complete fool for a manager, who walks round the place looking at the floor so as not to make eye contact with anyone for fear of complaints.
the "entertainment" (very loosely termed), awful, one evening consisted of one of the team asking guests what their favourite song was, then expected you to dance to it. that was apparently entertainment.
they sellotape a projector to some scaffold, and screen Mr Bean then turn it off in the middle of it, apparently, thats entertainment too.
there is no mini golf as advertised, no poolside bar serving snacks as advertised
the staff are largely very rude unless you are french, i would give this hotel one star at the very most, and that is only because it is kept reasonably clean
basically dont go unless you are over 70 and dont really care about eating anything good or being entertained.
dreadful dreary depressing waste of my hard earned cash,

Room Tip: just dont go, its rubbish

Hotel was very clean ,food good for a buffet, good location, staff friendly.
The down side was that the majority of guests were French and as I don't speak French and they did not speak English very hard to communicate. Also the French do not have any manners and just try and push there way in especially at the buffet.
I am annoyed with my travel agent that they did not advise me of this and with myself that I did not ask my son to look on tripadvisor before booking.

Room Tip: A room over looking the pool is a must but it costs extra. The rooms overlooking the street are very...

Just stayed 4 nights at hotel with four mates on a golfing holiday. Hotel does have a large proportion of French visitors but everyone up for a laugh. We went on the 10th of September and mainly older people staying there. Felt like being an extra in the film 'COCOON'. The staff were all friendly and helpful with Danny on the entertainment team on hand to keep activities interesting. Food was good but if staying any longer it would get repetitive as similar dishes available most evenings. Bar worked out fine. Always able to get served and plenty of snacks available throughout day and night.

Just got back from a four night stay, I will do the negatives first as there are not many. Didn't get to hotel till mid-night would have been nice to have some water and some cold food waiting for us as we where all-inclusive but there was nothing. There where 80% of French which was not a problem but did find the entertainment staff talking more French then English which made a game of bingo a nightmare so we went out the rest of the nights. On the positive note we had a new room in the basement which looked brand new and lovely decorated, there was not a mirror in the bedroom which was a pain. Could hear some muffled music at bed time from banana joes but it was not really a problem. As we went in September there was not a problem with getting a sunbed but would think at high season there could be an issue . The food was very nice and lots to choose from the salad bar had so much different pasta and rice dishes. Great location near bars and beaches and shops, Would come back again but will learn some French first !

Hotel food, staff , entertainment excellent as i say street noise a problem you do need ear plugs. There are alot of French people who we found very friendly plus a few English all got on well. The beach is minutes away and lots of local bars to visit. The pool area is excellent with friendly bar staff and that is where they hold the entertainment in the evening as well as in the day. There local beer is excellent and if there food is not enough then there is loads to snack on through out the day.
