Yes - we were real guests ( Room 117 3rd - 10th Feb). Booked this via Thomson holidays last September on a great deal. When we arrived we were shown a room at the rear of the hotel & over the kitchens. A quick word with reception & they quickly found us a couple of alternative rooms available with better views one of which was a newly refurbished room at the front of the hotel directly overlooking the sea. Fantastic !. Cost us 20 euro a night to upgrade but worth every bit of that.
The hotel is positioned at the quiet end of Palma Nova ( ie opposite end to Magaluf) but the whole resort was very quiet and Magaluf itself was deserted. There is a range of small shops nearby and a larger Mercadona supermarket just a short walk away. It is up a small hill so if you are not mobile it could be a hassle.
Room was clean, modern, spacious and quiet. The hotel was quite busy whilst we were there with a major cycling event going on - our hotel hosted the Movistar team. However we didnt suffer any intrusive noise or poor service. The staff were brilliant, especially front of house. We self catered so didnt eat in the hotel restaurant at all. The kitchenette in the room is fine but it does need a kettle. Luckily we had read Trip Advisor prior to coming and brought our own. If you are careful you can do toast on the electric rings !
Contrary to previous reviews the Wi Fi service worked fine - its free in the lounge & bar / lobby area but you pay for it in the room.
Nice warm indoor pool - outdoor pool fantastic but too cold in Feb.
Would we come back - you bet !. Majorca in Feb is fantastic, quiet, awash with Almond blossom and with good bus services etc. Very few Brits because the big tour firms have withdrawn flights in winter & sent our lot off to the Canaries. Our European neighbours have taken advantage & we met lots of interesting German, Swiss, French & Dutch people mainly out for the excellent walking & cycling.
