“Best holiday of my life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2009

Went to this hotel in july, was the best holiday ever! we stayed at the villanova apts. upstairs from a cafe, spar, careoke bar and the beach. Bank just right outside with taxi rank right outside the apartments. The guy cid who worked at the cafe was a really nice guy. Our bolier was leaking and the man was up in 5 mins with a brand new boiler he said it would take about an hour we left the man in our room and everything was fine! There were 6 of us but only booked 2 rooms, they gave us an extra room which was great! They supplied us with travel plugs and a ghetto blaster, and no limit to when your music has to be turned off. could'nt hear anyother guest's. 5 mins walk to magalluf and only a cupple of euros in a taxi we went on an 18 to 30's and are booking up for next year AGAIN. Absaloutly AMAZING

Ok, so i went to stay at the Villa Nova apartments with friends over summer 2008. As it was my first 18-30s holiday i didnt know quite what to expect!..If i could offer one bit of advice about these apartments, its not suitable for older people, a romantic holiday, couples, or if your going away to chill out, . The rooms are clean and has everything in what you need, kitchen, shower and somewhere to sleep (with a balcony...not that it offers much of a veiw). Its a handy place because its so close to the beach, they are above a spar which is handy to get cheep booze and food from and its not too far from magaluf strip. As its an 18-30s holiday, you will probs not be getting much sleep anyway so im not going to warn you about the noise/partys from the other apartments each night. The only problems i found about this place was it had no pool! which is alright because your able to go in other hotels to use their pools anyway and you may not feel all that safe if you are going home alone at night! Security isnt that great and its a dark entrance to your apartment. Other than that, i had a great holiday and would probably go back to villa nov with friends in the future.

ONE WARNING! dont get roped in to buying the 18-30s deal which we did. I ended up spending half my money on the first day with the sound of free bars, booze cruise, and endless bar crawls.. this is not all what you expect!..you have to go out every night at 8pm, following all the club reps to get into all the clubs (if you lose these, you miss getting in for free) the free bar isnt untill the end of the night when your wasted after excessive alcohol drinking all night.

Hi stayed at the Nova for a week, it was only ok the main thing is it is very dated. Needs a big cash injection
The activities during the day for kids non existent. I would not return there, met a older crowed that seem to love it. The bar staff were really good & the place clean, also the food was good enough in the bar

GOOD POINTS
-Right ontop of cheap spar shop. Everything you needed.
-Nice balcony and good sized rooms.
-Right next to the beach.
-Only a ten min walk or 4euros by taxi into magaluf.

BAD POINTS
-Security man barges in your rooms with a metal bar! i was ill one night so i stayed in. In the middle of the night, some of the other people staying in the hotel must have been making a bit of noise (which is to be expected on an 18-30) and the massive scary security man was chasing them with a big metal bar, so the lads jumped from balcony to balcony to get away from him. They ended up on our balcony. Then with no warning, the security man who lives below the apartments, just opened our door with his key and let himself in. He had a metal bar in his hand and was shouting at me, and i couldnt understand what he was saying. then he went onto our balcony and grabbed the lads, hit them and chucked them out of the room. No apologies to bursting into our room, especially as i was naked in bed!

-passports are not kept in a locker. there is no recepton so they were all kept on show under the bar. when my friend went to sign her passport out, he pulled out everyones passport in the hotel and asked her which ones she wanted. he never asked her for any I.D. she said "the other two girls arn't here to sign their passports out"...he said "it doesnt matter..u can take them"... she replied "so can i sign out anyones in this hotel?" to which he replied, "yes". pretty dodgy if you ask me!

-at 4am, my 2 friends came in to a flooded room. their boiler had burst and their room was completely flooded. we told the rep but he couldnt be bothered to sort it out as he was 'tired'. so we were instructed to phone 24 hour emergency (however, the number for this was on the bar notice board, which you couldnt access as that section of the bar was locked off). so they were instructed to just 'sleep in soeone elses room'. in the morning we told the barstaff and asked for a plumber but they didnt care. it only got sorted 12 hours later, when the cleaner saw it and got the maintanance man! the cleaners were the only people who made any sense in the hotel!

-when we were trying to find out what time the bus was picking us up for our ride to the airport for the flight home, there was no information and not even the reps seemed to know anything. we were supposed to fly at 11am and the barman just said 'oh i dont know, just get up at 10am and sort it then"..an hour before we fly?? so then he instructed us to 'just get an afternoon flight'...which is impossible as you cant use your flight ticket which is allocated for a morning flight, for an afternoon flight!

AND I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH....DO NOT buy the excursion package they offer you for 210euros! waste of money! u dont get 'a pack'. they say you will get free gig tickets and passes for a free bar in certain places. sounded like a good deal! however, they dont give u the passes/tickets unless u go out with the reps for every single activity..and you have to go out at 8.30pm each time! the main nightlife didnt really start til 11pm! we went on the first excursion that was supposed to be a bar crawl and we do not know what we paid for? the reps do not eve speak to u...they just sit on their own table and basically just tell you when its time to move to the next place. they dont do drinking games with you or get you any free shots or drinks, like on usual bar crawls! u buy your own drinks and sit with the people you came on holiday with initially! so it was a waste of money because you could do this yourself.

overall i had an amazing holiday..but thats because me and my friends made it amazing for ourselves. if i came back..i would definatly stay in a different hotel! i wouldnt even come back to these apartments if the holiday was free!

overall this was a great holiday!!

A stones throw away from the beach and above a bar (which closes at 11pm), and next to a Spar everything you need is pretty much on your doorstep.

The room was big and clean, with a small kitchen and bathroom where the hot water only lasted for 30 seconds when it wasnt scolding hot.
The only downfall I felt was there was no reception just had to go to the bar downstairs if any problems and we only saw the rep once.

As this is a 18-30s hotel it is extremely noisey not only during the night, but also at 6am in the morning with everyone returning from clubbing. This can get very tiring as me and my partner were woken each morning at this time and with no one around representing the hotel, groups did tend to get very loud and out of hand.
I would reccommend this hotel to groups who intend to go into Magaluf as its only a 10 min walk. NOT to families nor couples who tend to be in bed before 2am.

Overall I loved this holiday.

The appartments are above a Spar (cheapest prices in Palma Nova). Consist of large bedroom, small kitchen area and small bathroom with a shower, and balcony. There is no pool but you can use the facilities at the Don Bigote just down the road.

Cleaner came in quite regularly but never cleaned very well! Sometimes the towels weren't changed for days (when they were changed, they weren't the usual white soft hotel towels, they looked like old beach towels previous people staying at the hotel have left)
We had to buy our own toilet roll too!
We never saw our Rep til the last day (but that was fine by us!)
The lady who you hand back your key to (and who gives you your deposit back) can sometimes be hard to find. only there between 9am - 4pm.
Oh and the doors to the apartment are very old, thin, and rickerty. not very safe. But we were fine! Don't let these points put you off.

The holiday was brilliant on the whole!
Literally just across the road from the brilliant beach. so close that you can easily pop back to your room for water, another book etc. excellent location in Palma Nova. within easy walking distance from mini golf course, waterparks, Pirates, all pubs and clubs and restaurants.

Was very close to the airport too. Oh and go see Pirates!!! Well worth it. Aaaaargh!

Would suit young couple or singles. Have fun!
