“Great Improvement”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Fourth time in Las Palomas but what an improvement. The reception has been renovated from a store cupboard, full of paint tins & mop buckets, into a bright, modern office. A new glass door and an intercom that puts you through to a delightful young lady called Promise, She was a pleasure to deal with & nothing was too much trouble. First morning there the kettle wasn't working, so I went to reception and pressed the button, she said she would bring me new kettle as soon as she could. She was at our door shortly after me. Superb service!

Room Tip: The higher floors have better view, over opposite buildings, of the sea.

Las Palomas is close to everything, is in a quiet area. Restaurants, bars, beach, busstop and taxi 100 meters from the hotel. Very nice and clean room with TV, AC, internet and washingmachine.
Very nice view to the beach and sea. The owner is very nice and helpful, He do the very best for have the stay pleasant. The concierge is very nice and helpful. Ask every day if we need something. If we need something, she helps in a few minutes.
Lot of hot water, very good beds, I relax very good at Las Palomas.
And the price is the best in Palma Nova. Very good value.
I will recomend this hotel. I will come back in my next holiday, be sure.

Room Tip: Very comfirtable rooms for a nice price.

Obviously being a 2* hotel and costing £200 each, can't really say much as you pay for what you get!
It was a very basic room which was expected, can't say it was very clean which is disappointing as no matter what price you pay it should always be clean.
I thought what in God's name have we come to when we went to get our key...from a man in a cupboard! Quite funny now I think about it.
There's a nice pool, but it's in the shade most of the time so it's not great for swimming in, we attempted it once but went to the beach most days.
It's in a good location, easy to walk into town. It's also in a great location to walk into Magaluf if you wish, which we did a few times. Banana Joe's is a great little club, I'd advise to visit there.
There is a nice restaurant underneath the hotel which is spotless and serves lovely food so that makes up for the hotel being quite dingy.
It's all you need to get your head down if you're not planning on spending much time in the hotel so if that's all you're after then I'd recommend.

Avoid this hotel. Pathetic. No reception area, just a green door to a broom cupboard. Had to wait 10mins each time wanted some service while the girl came to speak to us. Booked a double, got two single beds that were different heights! No hot water one day. Terribly uncomfy beds & no extra pillows even though requested. Poor excuse of a hotel.

I saw great improvement as compare with last year when i stayed there for some days. The rooms e.g the bath room and the kichen renovated, changing of receptionist and now have a reception and services 24 hours. recomented now for families and friends this time around.

Room Tip: rooms with sea view the best.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

When we arrived at Las Palomas we where a bit worried as it did look a little run down than other places in Palmanova...

As we walked towards the apartments we were greeted by a man who showed us over to a green door, when he opened the door it was a broom closet as other people have stated. We paid the man for our room (you have to pay cash on arrival) and he gave us our keys. He pointed to the far end of the apartments and left us to find our own way (there are two blocks Las Palomas 1 & Las Palomas 2, 1 being the furthest away). He didn't tell us what floor we where on but looking at the room number 704 we gathered we were on the 7th floor...

When we got up there and the lift doors closed the landing was in total darkness which was frightening, when we found the light switch the lights only worked at the ends of the landing and we were in the middle. When we found our room and we put the key in the lock it would not open! After trying for 15 minutes we went back down to find the man who had checked us in and he had disappeared. We went back to the room and finally got in after 30 minutes...

When we finally got in the room, kitchen & bathroom where spotless.. No dirt or damp anywhere. After unpacking we went onto the balcony the view was absolutely fantastic. We had our towels, bedding and bins changed on the 4th day. There is local people that live in these apartments but we never heard any noise and they where always pleasant when we seen them.

I would stay here again if I was visiting Palmanova and on a tight budget, for what we paid to stay here it was well worth with, however if you use the pool area you have to pay 2 euros to use a sun lounger, we never used the pool but it always looked clean. We went to the beach everyday *tip* by a lilo for 7 euros on the first day and use that to sunbathe on on the beach because sun loungers are very expensive to hire every day

When you see the man who runs the apartments nothing you ask is to much trouble, one morning after flushing the toilet it was running the bowl wouldn't fill, I told him the toilet was broken he asked what our room number was and when we went out for an hour it was fixed before we got back.

Room Tip: When booking we requested a room on a high floor also the manager emails you to ask what time you ar...
