“really good hoilday we would go back again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

Me and my boyfriend arrived on the 3rd off September until 17th for to weeks. At palma de Mallorca playas ca's saboner's. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was ok but could do with updating. Playas ca's saboner's is for family, couple's and young groups. Their were some hen's and stag's their but they wasn't any trouble at all. They bingo every other night and some entertainment and their was happy hour 7pm 9pm so that was good. Their is so much to do at palma nova theirs is nice beach, crazy golf, and lots off water parks. And we said we would go back.

Room Tip: The room near reception are very quitter we got a lot off sleep but the sun shined near our room in...

I am so pleased we stayed here.

This is such an honest hotel, comfortable with all the basic essentials. Extreemely helpful and friendly, yet professional staff.

The layout of the hotel is excellent, all rooms view the pool. Everywhere was clean and well cared for.

There is an in house shop and a couple of supermarkets just down the road to the right. We did not eat at the bar or resturant here, but the menu had good choice, at good prices, and the food we saw being served looked very good

This hotel is ideally located so it is quiet and aware from bars and resturants, but close enough to walk. Also the same applies to the beach.

We would certainly be very happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: It depends when you like the sun in your room, 255 ensures sun all afternoon and evening

We booked a last minute holiday in the sun and some self catering accommodation. Two adults, 16 year old and 14 year old. The apartment was one bedroom with the couches in the living area doubling up as the additional beds. Not a comfortable nights sleep on the sofas! The apartment was in need of modernisation. Rust on the fridge, bathroom stained and enough hot water for one shower over 5 minutes. You get what you pay for. Okay for a young group of people but not ideal for a young family. We ate out as we did not want to cook using the equipment.
The pool area, however, was lovely and had the sun all day. The sun loungers were in need of updating however were functional. There is a bar area and some pool tables (which you need to pay for) and a pint of beer is around 2.60 euros.
The best thing about the apartments was the location. It was very central to Palma Nova, Magaluf and Torrenova....a 5 minute walk. It was also about 2 minutes to the beach and the location was ideal as it was far enough removed from the noise and hussle and bustle.

Ideal location as it's in short walking distance to the strip, but not too close that you get disturbed by all the noise at night! Its in the quieter part of town right near the beach and local shops and restaurants, so everything is near by- there's a small supermarket next door. We were a group of 8, so had two rooms, each with a double bed and 2 singles. Rooms were clean and tidy with aircon (though still very hot at night and we ended up sleeping with the balcony door open a few times). Very close to the pool and bar. Small kitchen area with basics such as some pots and pans, plates and cutlery, a stove, fridge and microwave. We had tempermental water temperature- if someone was washing plates, then the shower temperature would either be scolding or freezing so we had to wait in between washes which was annoying. Staff were very helpful and helped sort out our keys when we thought the flat got broken into one night. Would definitely stay here again, though would probably ask for a bigger room as the 2 single beds were fold out sofas so weren't very comfy or accommodating!!

Room Tip: All rooms are pool side view (see photo) but people leave towels on loungers to reserve them- so eit...

Great location, perched on a slight hill but midway to enjoy the nightlife on Maga Strip and the peace of Palma Nova.Minutes from the Son Matias beach and many restaurants, bars, shops etc.Bip supermarket down hill and bear right 100yards,however fresh baguettes and pastries etc available daily at in house shop.Good bar with happy hour 7 til 9 ,also serves good snacks ,light meals ,breakfasts etc at reasonable prices. All rooms overlook pool, which is well kept, plenty sunbeds and safe area for kids.Nightly entertainment is pretty average but the kids will enjoy it.Apartments are clean and well equipped with fridge/toaster/kettle/microwave/hob.Hairdryer in bathroom and small t.v. in sitting area.Air conditioning is included in price. On looking at other reviews i'd say some are pretty one sided...especially the bad ones.I have stayed here on 6 occasions at different times of year and always found them good value/clean/friendly staff and fab location to suit all age groups.Certainly there are stag/hen groups but security is on the ball! There is also a small park for children and a lifeguard at pool which is reassuring.

Room Tip: All rooms have pool view ,but if with children or those with mobility problems ask for ground floor...

Lovely spacious, clean apartment (all with pool view) and great pool area. Location good for both palmanova and magaluf. Good for both family's and groups of friends. Would definitely recommend, ignore any bad reviews!

I booked the Aparthotel Playas ca's saboners from some of the reviews on Trip Advisor and also reading about the hotel from its own website over a year ago. We were four lady friends ranging in age from 47yrs to 49yrs. On arrival and first impressions the reception area was spotlessly clean and I could not fault it. This followed through to the bar/breakfast area and the small on site shop. Proceeding through to an outside area with pool tables and an eternal eatery come entertainment area. This led on again to a wonderful pool area with sufficient sunloungers for the sun worshippers. What let it down was the room, I know we are talking about 3* accommodation but I dont believe it deserved this, I would rate this area as 2* max. The beds in the bedroom where decent and comfortable to sleep in however the sofa's that converted into beds in the lounge area where thin and most uncomfortable to sleep on. Pillows and towels were desirable, Our pillow cases were stained and some with rips, and the most bizzare shape of pillow along with being extremely hard. Our towels were a mixture of stained and non stained, you could tell that some were from people who had chose to colour their hair while abroad or nails etc. The bathroom had tiles missing from the wall and big cracks against the wall nearest to the bath. There was also a lot of rust in our bath and around the metal area of the plug hole and over flow area. The cupboards had not been cleaned properly or wiped down and I even found the last guests boxers still in the top of the wardrobe along with a pair of socks in the draw. I am not a snob far from it, and I am one who says pay basic you receive basic, but then most I have stayed in dont rate themselves with stars and thats a huge difference of what to expect from a hotel. From reviews previously read this appeared to be a family hotel and well ran, but of recent after my booking of over a year ago it seems to have turned its attention to more hen and stag events which appeared unfair to those who had chosen a family holiday to have young ones in the pool with a bunch of arrogant italians diving in and playing beach volley with a hard ball that no parent felt safe enough to let their child remain there. There are a couple of life guards that attend more so life guard appealing than others who seem to appear from within the cafe area when a complaint was being made yet another would sit for hours at the poolside monitoring everything. This hotel could have a lot to offer but needs to get its priorities right, does it change itself to a hen and stag hotel or go back to being a family hotel as it appears from being out there for a week it cant do both. The rooms are dated and need a refurbish and a good clean/paint. Cooker tops are in need of a good change and a fridge with an ice compartment would be far more suited being self catering. This place in its present condition is ideal for hen or stag parties who need to sleep all day and party all night therefore not giving the accommodation a second glance. However for those who wish to enjoy where they stay and take pleasure out of what accommodation has to offer then this is not the place for you. Hat off to the night Security Guard he was wonderful and made sure people were removed from their balcony at midnight if they were not quiet.
Tips on where to shop: Use the Spar shop just down the road maybe small but fab deals on water 65c 1.5ltr, e1.20 5ltr e4.50 for 6 cans of San Miguel twice the price as hotel shop and next door, and better still if want a walk go past spar to cake shop on right omg to die for (they do sell cakes at shop next to hotel but again nearly twice the cost) and better still go past that to the bottom junction and turn right up the hill and the Spanish supermarket is on the left this is much cheaper and used by all the locals.
Eating out: First choice for us was acutally ranked lower than our second choice but I always say eat were the locals eat and a lot eat here, its called Goya Viana it caters for most, the lasagne is beautiful but then its owner is Italian with a Spanish chef on board. The Paella a fraction of the cost to elsewhere but so flavoursome. T.bone steak wonderful, chicken curry full of succulant pieces of chicken breast and they do gorgeous tripple cooked as chef says "propa" chips. It caters both english and european but if you are also looking for that little missed english breakfast then you wont be let down here, real english sausage, back bacon, fried bread and english tea. Second choice is Chi Lounge Malloca - Beautiful fish restaurant on the beach front upstairs with cosy sofa seating down stairs. It is quite expensive for a full fish platter but from this being packed out most nights shows in itself how wonderful the food is. Third Soprano's which was quite fitting and fourth Godfather Steak House.
Drinks: Plaza bar far end Palma, Ruby Tuesdays, Scotmans, Welsh Bar, Eastenders all good places as long as you dont end up on the Magaluf strip. Enjoy this one was a bit of an eye opener for all.

Room Tip: We were on a first floor with a balcony but the Terrace rooms offered more with a nice terrace to si...
