After reading some of the reviews on this site before going I was very worried about staying in this hotel! However, I thought the hotel was excellent for the price and didn't have any major problems with it. The reception area is nice and spacious and clean. The staff were all were friendly and helpful. The pool and pool area was clean and a nice layout. However, a few more sunloungers would have been nice.
The room was basic but clean, of a reasonable size and everything was in working order. However, the towels were only changed every three days and the maids wern't very thorough.
We had breakfast in the hotel. There was a good variety and the food was tasty.
The hotel is situated just five minutes walk from Magaluf main strip however it is NOT on the actual strip and I didn't experience any major noise problems, just heard a few drunk revellers coming in one night. The hotel is sufficiently far from the main strip so that you don't hear any of the actual noise directly from the pubs/clubs. Magaluf beach is 5minutes walk down 100steps! Palmanova beach is a ten minute walk away down the hill.

Went to magaluf for 3 nights for a birthday celebration (ages 22 to 32 males and females) i booked this hotel through alpharooms, i read the reviews but i knew we would be out most of the night anyway so the noise wasnt an issue although i can agree with other reviewers about the noise it is full of night owls and drinkers so i would definately warn families and people who want to sleep not to stay here.
The hotel itslef was FILTHY.....

There were 3 of us in our 1 bed apartment but on arrival there were only 2 hand towels and 1 bath towel, i went to reception to ask for some more and was treated as though i had pinched them, and believe me why anyone would pinch them, they were stained and marked and had holes in them when we eventually got some, they were that bad we all purchased new beach towels to use and did not use the ones provided.
The bedding also was a little suspicious, there were stains on the pillowcases and the sheets smelt of biscuits!!!

The room was a mess the furniture was falling to bits, there was no kettle, the microwave was dangerous we turned it on once and it was sparking and smoking, the fridge was filthy there was what looked like coffee spilt down it, the floors were covered in hair, the bath had hair in it, the toilet was dirty, the shower curtain had what looked like vomit on it, the whole room had not seen a paintbrush since it was built which looking at it was in the 60s, and the balcony furniture well it looked like there was poo on one of the chairs!!!
The maid service was non-existent they came in every day and made 2 out of 3 beds!!! they never changed the towels or swept or did anything else other than make 2 out of 3 beds.

This was not just our room other members of our party had rooms as bad it was the whole place.

The outside of the building needs painting and the corridoors needed a good clean, in the reception next to the stairs is what used to be a big fountain this looks like it has been emprty for years it was mouldy and had been used as a rubbish dump by people to throw burgers and cigarettes in whilst on there way up the stairs.

We all hired safe keys and where given the same key and could open each others safes so this was pointless, anyone in the hotel who has a safe key can access every safe in the hotel!!

The pool area looked like you would get ill, the floor was disgusting and the sun beds were broken and very grubby, luckily we are beach people anyway.

The location is good for people wanting to party all night, 2 minutes walk down to the strip 5 minutes back though because of the hill, the beach is also close by if you go down about 100 steps which if your capable of doing is ok and we were, it is about a 5-10 minute walk if you dont use the steps.

Im glad we only had to endure this dirty place for 3 nights and if it had of been any longer i would of checked out and gone elsehwere. I did not expect luxury just basic cleanliness and hygiene but im certain the hygiene standards in this place could make you ill. I wouldnt return and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone who wants a clean place to stay, but i would recommend it for location to the strip for young revellers who are ok with dirt.

Well, having read the previous reviews before we headed out to the TRH Palmanova in the middle of August I must say I was slightly worried. When we arrived the very pleasant receptionist told us that the hotel was very noisey 24hrs a day and that if we found it too noisy we should have our holiday company find us another hotel the following day however we thought we will give it 1 night and see how it went and I must say we actually had a good nights sleep until 5am when a cockerel just across the road from our apartment started making an auful noise and for about half an hour every morning did so for the seven night we were there however if you slept in the living room you didn't really hear it and the nights that my 10 year old son slept in the bedroom he slept through it! We also heard the huge dog on several occassions.
To be honest I can truthfully say the the young groups of stag and hen party's that were there at that time never really bothered us and we never heard any banying of doors or buzzers. Even at the pool they weren't really noisy, maybe it was where our apartment was sisuated or we were just lucky that we picked a quiet week for hen and stag party's.
Our kids, girl aged 14 and boy aged 10 loved the water polo and football that the entertainment staff did every day but that's because both my kids play football but I must say they were good with the kids. The couple of shoes they put on were pretty good as well and they got the younger kids involved with the Greese show which of course all the parents loved.
The apartment was very spacious and the only complaint I had about it was though there was a tv there was no English channels on it, a sky news channel would have been good.
Of the hill that a lot of people complain about well if you have a walking disability fair enough but if not you must be pretty unfit!! It was 1 min into the main bit of Magaluf and 2 into Palmanova so very central.
Having said all this, would I stay there again? Probably not because I would be worried that we were just lucky this time which is a shame because it is actually quite a nice hotel.

Do not stay here if you want to sleep at some point during the night or have young children, totally unsuitable for families, described in brochure as being ideal for relaxing holiday - i don't think so, this was the worse holiday i have ever had, myself,partner and 11 year old were kept awake every night by revellers on their way out around midnight and coming shouting swearing smashing bottles at 4 in the morning, which went on for aroudn 2 hours, There should have been a full programme of entertainment but there was only two shows on during our weeks stay, this was intereupted by louts in rooms situated around the pool, in fact during the daytime it was lovely the beach was great and more peaceful than the apartments, but at 10pm every night they woke up ready for another night, i was so glad to get home and would never ever recommend anyone goes there.
