A small island in the Mediterranean Sea brings you lots of salty blue water, long lonely coastlines with white sands, party beaches, a happening city center and with just 60 kilometer wide end to end stretch brings every place in range.
If you are looking for spending a relaxing vacation or want to have a party blast this is the place to be. Almost 2.5 hrs from Zurich, Munich, Brussels, Paris, Mallorca island is well connected and within descent range. From Barcelona or Valencia ports you can also ferry to the island for a nominal charge ranging from 60 to 150Euros depending on the services offered by them.
The city center is a fun place to be in. You can stroll along the streets where you will find musicians playing instruments, kids showing off their stunts etc. Lots of food joints and a perfect place for shopping souvenirs and enjoying some good sun. There are few luggage drop places as well where you can drop your luggage and roam around freely without hassels.
Other great place is the leather industry, Inca. If you want to do some serious shopping for leather goods, this is the place. There is a direct train to Inca from the city centre so connectivity is not an option. For return journey be prepared to catch the last train running from Inca at 16:00.
Party beach is Arenal situated close to the Airport. It will take 10 mins to reach here from city centre in your own car. Lonely beach in the morning turns into most happening place on the island during night. A must go for party lovers. Gives a feel of Ibiza :)
Port de Pollenca and Alcudia are east extreme points featuring scooba diving hot spots and famous Cap de Formentor light house point. To get brilliant views from top of hills with water splashing in the foothills is a feature of this place. Not very crowdy and very shopping freak place but has some very good eating options. By car it will take an hour to reach here from Mallorca city centre.
Sant de Jordi is another famous place and a must go if you are looking for exotic white sand beaches. Although a bit crowded, but you will find personal space for you. Es trenc famous beach is located here. Place is well known for salt mines and farmers still do salt farming. There is a decent shopping area for necessary comodities, medicnies and eating joints. Lots of hotels and accomodation options. Water sports are also available in plenty of options.
Going to Spain and missing Mallorca should not be an option :)
