the hotel is very basic but what you pay reflects this however the room was very clean all the staff were friendly christine the chef was amazing her eggs are the best the friendlieness of the staff made all visitors relax which made the stay all the better one suggestion put a kettle in the room

Room Tip: ask for one where the fan works and if you want sleep choose the 2nd block

Travelled to this hotel on 30th September for a week. Hotel is basic but very clean. Staff extra helpful nothing to much bother. Our room was on the 3rd floor of the Gil block next door to the Gabarda and had 2 very comfy single beds. Our only problem was the lack of power in the shower!!! The problem was put down to hard water and guest demand!!!
Adele at reception was very nice and chris who cooks breakfasts was great. 3 choices at breakfast full English, continental and cereals and fruit. All cooked fresh and on the spot. Have to pay for drinks with the brekkie but not a problem.
Only a short walk to Palma nova front and the beach. Some great food available at good prices. Best food all week at pirates in magaluf. Best drinks and atmosphere at Bostons bar in magaluf. All in all an enjoyable budget week.

17 females (age ranging from 17 to 55) stayed at the Hotel Gabarda 13th to 16th September to celebrate a birthday. Hotel is basic but has everything you need and is absolutely spotless, Rooms were big enough to hold 3 adults and had its own balcony. Bathroom big enough and clean although shower was just an over the bath shower with not much force behind it - but that would be only 'gripe' if it could be called that. All the staff were amazing, so friendly and couldn't do enough to help you, whatever it was you asked for. Breakfast served till 11am and Christine was fantastic :)
Beach and bars only a 5 minute walk away but far enough away to not be bothered by any noise or people milling about.
All in all, a fantastic stay, very good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed there 27th aug to 7th sep 2012. I must admit to being unsure when I booked the holiday as to how good the hotel could be at really cheap prices, but was pleasently surprised! reception area with bar very clean and tidy, receptionists were beyond helpful and bar staff were really attentive and friendly (special shout out to julian!). The star of the show was definately the chef who cooked a brilliant full english breakfast with an irish personality to match! pool and sun lounger area is quite small but with the beach 5 mins walk (if that) away, it really doesn't matter. Room had twin beds, two chairs, dressing table with large mirror, en suit with quite a good shower over bath, and a balcony. The room itself got cleaned everyday and the sheets/towel changed. Would definately stay again.. and soon.. xxx

Room Tip: back facing rooms are cooler and the rooms in the main gabarda hotel are slight larger than the ones...

basic but clean and all the staff are very friendly and will do whatever they can to accommodate you.if all you want is a clean place to sleep and somewhere to get ready to out this is the place for you.a choice of breakfasts with english ingredients are included and served till 11am. the beach and bars are within a 5 min walk and it is only about 25 min stroll to magaluf or 5 euro in taxi.they have rooms with double beds which are hard to find in spain but no aircon yet we did find the ceiling fan worked well along with the windows open.the only drawback we found was you could end up with noisy neighbours as we did for the last 2 nights of our stay but that could happen anywhere i suppose! all in all nice clean rooms great staff in a good location and good value for money - where else can you get a double room for £20 a night in august including a cooked breakfast each, would recommend to couples but there is nothing here for children even the pool and area around it is very small although you can use the martinez pool just around the corner which is a nicer area to use but we chose to go to the beach where there was a lovely sea breeze to help keep you cooler-it really was hot around the pool.

Room Tip: room 306 was at the other end away form the 24hr bar which had a large double bed and an extra windo...

on arrival seen very quickly by adele at reception very nice and helpful through stay just given key not shown to room or explained about breakfast times ect. no lifts lucky we only had to drag our bags up 1 floor no one offered to help room was basic but clean all you need, beds terrible back ache all week not changed poor quality bedding 1 pillow one fan in room quite hot one morning we went down for breakfast and was told we couldnt have it quite rude by other english receptionist tanya as it had just pasted 11am although nobody told us this thought this was unfair as we had paid for it and cook was still cooking not happy. bar prices a bit high watch out for spanish bar men who pretend they cant speak english and keep your change!!! defo take a walk 5 mins to sea front for a drink better prices and atmosphere, beach nice group of 10 middle age men took over the very small pool drunk drinking from glass bottles in pool very noisy on several days staff did not seem to care.... company we booked via said we would be able to get a late check out but was unable to bags left in a room next to reception where anyone could walk into as no view from reception paid for safe which was tiny and not even in our rooms was downstairs, bar men never spoke seemed grumpy, adelle was lovely could have been more helpful watch out for tanya was unhappy with her rudeness and some of the comments she made to us, did not like idea of leaving your room key at reception when going out, why? THE HOTEL FORGOT TO MENTION PACHA IS RIGHT BEHIND THE BACK OF THE HOTEL bare this in mind!!!! they were always advising us where to go what to do in magaluf no mention of pacha which we only realised was behind our hotel on our transfer home cleaners nice fresh towels daily. breakfast was cheap and basic quality, overall good for cheap 2 star holiday but some staff need lessons in customer service

Room Tip: rooms at front of hotel have big balconys we was stuck at back
