5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

just back from yet another fabulous holiday at the superb 4 star son matias.

this hotel as always been immaculate but now they have had the refurb it is truly stunning, bright, airy, modern and very chic.

it really is hard to find any fault with the hotel, how can you when the entertainment, food, staff, location are all brilliant.

the hotel is very popular with the british, especially the older traveller, this is reflected in the excellent menu and entertainment.

i think we have been to the son matias 5 times now and every time when we walk through those doors it's like coming home, there really is something special about this place.

we just can't wait to this fantastic hotel,it really can't come soon enough.

Room Tip: all rooms have a sea view but go higher as your view wont be spoilt by the palm trees at the front o...

I have previously stayed at this hotel a few years ago but unfortunaly coulnt book a single room when i tried this time. I did however call in for a drink on 2 evenings and found that there had been a very nice refurbishment of the lounge/bar area. The drinks prices were very reasonable and there was some very good entertainment on.

Lovely clean friendly hotel, food excellent, i was the youngest person there at 46 yrs old, rooms and bathroom very clean, pool area and the large comfy white beds were great, although we did hear a comment from someone walking by 'they have been on them all day' and god help you if you take someones seat, lol. overall a very nice hotel.

Room Tip: don't go for dinner at 6.45 as there's a queue !!

Stayed for 7 days here, had a lovely time and met some lovely people. A lot of the guests return each year and some more than once giving the feeling of being very clicky at first.
Only niggle was there were supposed to be organised daytime games but a group of guests organised french boules and this ran into the games so they were cancelled. on another occasion the afternoon dancing was cancelled because of an electric problem so the entertainment lady Claire went instead of coming up with something different to do.
View was lovely from room, all rooms have seaview. Food nice and hotel staff helpful and pleasant. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be good

This is a smart well run hotel - an oasis of calm in the centre of Palma Nova. Its is located right on the beach front. The resort is busy - next door to 'Brits abroad' Magaluf, but this hotel is quiet and caters for older people. If you want nightlife you will need to go out - go here to chill. The food ranges from good to outstanding - mix of Spanish & British - but you will have to queue if you waant to eat at 8.All rooms have a sea view (see balcony shot attached). Friendly, cheerful staff. Good base for driving round the island. If you want Spanish it doesn't take long to get off the beaten track. If you hire a car get the all inclusive insurance - bumps are guarenteed. Relaxing out of season some good deals available.

Room Tip: high up low numbers will get you best beach view

Stayed again first week of March. The hotel has been refurbished with new bar seating and sunbeds The weather was rather unkind to us but no fault of the hotel we caught up on our walking as it was not sunbathing weather. It is great to go to this hotel as the food is excellent and the nice touch is tea and coffee making facilities in your room which was filled up every day also a lovely bag of toileteries in the bathroom. Clare the entertainments organiser works very hard to ensure everyone enjoys themselves she is a credit to the place. We will probably return again at the end of the season as we like it in Palma Nova when it is quiet.

We have stayed in this hotel 3 times now & we can honestly say it never lets you down! It is spotlessly clean & friendly, the food is good always something there to choose from. It caters for the older holiday maker, the entertainment is very good also.

The location is first class perfect! right on the beach, a lovely promanade to walk along either into palma nova or the other way Magaluf, very central. not at all in a noisy position all rooms face the sea FAB! I wouldnt go to say it was a luxury hotel as some we have stayed in, but it is lovely, hence people go back year after yaer & even have a holiday reunion club!

We have booked hotel seperately with booking.com & the flights with jet 2, worked out cheaper at the time as this is a thompson hotel. We have also booked with thompson accomadation only at the last minute & we got a bargain.

This hotel has a small pool, sunbeds are always taken early but there is staff that will take towels away if beds are unoccuopied for any lenghth of time which is fair.
No children, as it is adult only BLISS! we have had or kids now it is OUR time which we are now enjoying this type of holiday.
Do not hesitate to book this hotel im sure you will love it.
