“Good Stay!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Stayed here with my 17 year old daughter for 5 nights at the end of June.
This was a nice family hotel with good food, air con, drinks & nice & clean.
Sunbeds at the pool were hard to find after 9am but that's the norm. Also u have to be off them about 6 ish as they clear them for the evening entertainment.
A 5 minute walk down a hill to lovely Palma Nova beach where the beds & parasol are 13.50 per day. The walk up a little harder in the heat but not too bad.
The staff were pleasant and good position for the nightlife if you want it. Great to have 3 lifts!
Enjoyed our stay, would stay again :)

Room Tip: Our room on 5th floor overlooking the pool was good!

Yes overrun with kids.
Sun beds hard to get and keep .
However the positives -
Staff the best I've come across anywhere .
Food - good choice and standard .
Rooms spacious and modern .
Drinks - not branded but served in decent sizes glasses .
No complaints .
Would return but wouldn't rush back. Too Many kids .
Was also noisy at night.
Didn't see any trouble with groups but can see why it could get out of hand .

We had a two week holiday in this hotel and we took our 2 year old son with us. We had a fantastic time and we will be back next year with friends. The hotel was very clean and staff were fantastic havemt got a bad word to say about the marina torronova. It had such a friendly atmosphere and the staff were always smiling. The hotel always respects that people have children and finish all the shows a decent time and the music is finished at 12 and the noise then is little.

The entertainment staff made our holiday fantastic, my son adored Ivan and looked for him all the time we were there. They always made a fuss of him and always sat down for a chat. They had mini disco everynigjt for the kids and my son had the grooviest dancer and they awarded my partenr mr marina torronova. The bar staff were all very friendly you have to take your hats off to them they work very very hard. We all enjoyed the company of kevin the waiter who was brilliant. We laugh about the holiday all the time and our photos are fantastic. Thanks to beth, ivan, marco amd miska for making our holiday brilliant and we back to join in more fun and travis wants to learn they new song and dance. Gangnum style plays in my house all the time and my dances to it everytime.

we stayed at the marina torrenova june 2013,we had a fabulous time there.my 2yrd grandson loved it ,the childrens entertainers were 1st class especially ivan and beth. The food was exellent a wide choice of everything and the desserts were lovely. The 3 pools were fab to,all shops and bars were close only short walk down hill,my husband is disabled but he managed fine. The only down side is large groups of youngsters are allowed to stay and they can be a bit roudy especially at the poolside and at night, but overall we had a fantastic holiday and will be going back.

As a group of 13 girls on their first holiday abroad the hotel was everything we could have wished for. Although it is mainly a family hotel, I would say there was more of a mixture, with groups, couples and families all entwined. So if you are looking for a very quiet family hotel i wouldn't advise you to go here (or to the area in general to be completely honest). The hotel staff were wonderful, in particular the bar staff were friendly and amusing, they all worked extremely hard and were always friendly and happy to help. When we arrived our balcony doors didn't work, within minutes they had sent someone to fix them and apologised for any inconvenience. The evening entertaining were better on some nights than others, but each did entertain! The food varied each night and offered a selection of hot and cold. My friend is allergic to gluten and even she had no complaints, satisfied with the selection available for her. Other reviews comment on difficulty in gaining seats by the pool, each day i managed to find one. The hotel even had the lifeguard keeping times on those who left their towels on the beds and were not there for over an hour. The rooms were clean and the maids offered their services every day and asked if perhaps coming back later on was better. One of the best features of the hotel is definitely the situation, if you are looking for a hotel close to the magaluf strip but not too close this is perfect! Every day we walked with no issues, taking less than 10 minutes. Both beaches, Palma nova and magaluf are also very close and easy to find. All in all, this hotel was perfect especially considering what we paid. I think some of the reviews are harsh because they expect so much for a hotel which isn't five stars, and families seem surprised with any noise from the local wildlife. But for us, it was perfect, a beautiful clean hotel, kind hard working staff, and easy access to magaluf. All in all, everything we needed!

Stayed with my partner here for 11 nights, in late mid-late June. Very friendly staff at this hotel, especially the female receptionist, she was great, spoke excellent English and couldn't do enough for us. All the staff were pleasant and had a laugh with the kids when the entertainment was on, on a night. Rooms got cleaned everyday which was great.

The food, however, was basic (burgers, chips, chicken nuggets etc) got repetitive (each night there was one thing different, eg. paella, chicken dinner - but was never great) and by the end of the first 5/6 days we were sick of eating it and ate out for a few of the days. Eating out was also due to the hoards of spoiled, screaming children whose parents did little to quiet them down, at every meal. The same families allowed their children to run riot around the hotel early on the morning and quite late at night, this combined with the paper thin walls, and groups of people screaming and banging on doors after coming in from nights out resulted in not much sleep. Some security would have been great to quieten down people, especially at night for those guests which wanted get to sleep before 1 am.

As well as the food and the noise, the sun beds around the pool were IMPOSSIBLE to get if you had not woken before 8 am (which we didn't as we did not manage to get to sleep until late most nights, then be woken up by the screaming children we had on either side of us during the night). There were 'no reserve' signs around the pool, however throughout our whole time at the hotel we did not see it enforced, even though the majority of the time there would be less than 40 people actually using the sun beds just before midday, with over a hundred reserved sun beds lying empty, which was extremely frustrating. We managed to get sun beds on two occasions, both days it was overcast therefore people had obviously chosen to do other things.

This hotel would have been much better if the hotel policies had been enforced, guests were asked, and then TOLD if ignored, by staff to be considerate to other guests and if the food had been more varied. We defiantly won't be returning which is a shame because the hotel rooms, bar area, pool areas and staff were great.

We are just back from a week at this hotel. While we had a lovely time during the day and at night with the entertainment provided, there wasn't one single night that we weren't awoke by noisy, screaming drunk young people at all hours of the morning. This literally happened every night we were there!

This was the main downside of the hotel. I think the hotel would do much better if it catered solely for families as I think this is missing quite a bit in Palma Nova. I would not come back here for a family holiday. And I can vouch for the previous person who mentioned about the naked men on the balconies during the kids entertainment time! This is just ridiculous.

We have always travelled to Salou most summers but decided on Palma Nova this year for a change. What a big mistake that was.

Bottom line, I would not recommend this to families at all!
