“Great hotel...crap service from Thomson's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2011

My wife, daughter and partner and I stayed here from 24/11/11 for a week as a last minute break. The hotel was excellent with good food and it was very clean. The toilets in communal areas like the pool and reception were spotless.
The staff were wonderful and rooms god but they need a make over which is due to happen now whilst the hotel is closed.. The beds are very hard and the others had issues getting to sleep.
The THOMSON rep however was appalling and we have complained direct to them.
Al in all a good hotel if you have kids but us 4 adults wanted a peaceful time.

Stayed in this hotel with 9 friends for a short break in October.
The staff were friendly and extremely hard working and the whole place was spotlessly clean .The food was varied and plentiful. The animation team were brilliant and the bar staff worked long hours and were always busy but you always got a smile!!!
Definately value for money-keep up the good work!!!!

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and two children (5 and 3) during the October break and I have to say I couldn't fault it. It was the first time taking the kids abroad so have nothing to compare it to but we all had a fantastic time.
Our room faced the pool and had the sun most of the day. We found the beds to be really comfortable and always had a great nights sleep. Our 5 year old slept on the extra bed (think this is a sofa when not in use). We thought we would have to get a cot for our 3 year old but staff and made up a wee extra bed for her which was fantastic. We slid her bed next to ours, that way no kids could fall out of bed ..... perfect!!! The bathroom was fantastic too, with a really brilliant power shower. Our maid was lovely and cleaned the room and gave us fresh towels every day. She even cleaned our room first when we explained our kids went for a nap after lunch (when she would be usually cleaning the room).
The rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and all other areas of the hotel were very clean and inviting. no problem getting a sun lounger although the bar at night was very busy and sometimes it was hard getting a seat. The three pools are brilliant, especially for kids. My two loved the shallow pool and enjoyed the freedom of being able to go in without their armbands!
The food was fantastic, as has already been said. What a choice for breakfast!!!!! And the evening meals were brilliant too. I don't know anybody who could go to this hotel and not find something the like, and if there is they must be very fussy!!!!! Our kids loved being able to have an ice lolly or ice cream any time of the day and they even picked up some Spanish when they were allowed to ask for it themselves!!! My husband certainly made good use of the "free beer" which was San Miguel on tap!!!!!
All in all a fantastic hotel in a brilliant location (the hill really isn't that steep). The only downside was the Thomas Cook Kids Club was non existant. The drop in wasn't even open when we were there let alone allocated slots for different age groups, like advertised in the brochure (we are still waiting to "meet" Dizzy and Shades at the disco!!!!!!!). But this was Thomas Cook's problem and not the hotel's (the hotel's own kids club and entertainment team were brilliant!!!).

Room Tip: Ask for a pool side room.

Visited this hotel in September with a few of my friends for my 40th Birthday celebrations. The hotel was very accommodating and had a great few days in Palma with the gang. The food was great also the staff.
Cant really fault anything. The pool area was clean and not to packed could get a bed anytime of the day and as a big group of 12 we were pretty close together also.
Thanks for a good break.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. I normally always go to 4 star hotels and above but this holiday was for a quick cheap and cheerful week away and I wanted somewhere that would be good for a 15 month old baby.
Firstly - the hotel is on a bit of a hill. This didn't bother us. We walked out everyday and pushed the buggy back up the hill. There is a slightly steep incline for 5 minutes but it is fine. The hotel has a good position. It is a 2 minute walk down the hill to the beach. There are plenty of shops nearby - supermarkets and the usual holiday tat. It is very close to the edge of the strip in Magalluf (just round the corner from Poco Loco's). This would be good if you wanted to hit all the bars in Maglluf but it is far enough away so you don't hear all the noise.
On first impressions the rooms are EXTREMELY basic!! I think if more money was spent updating the rooms this could become a 4 star but the rooms really let the hotel down. There is no remote for the TV. The beds are low and very thin and hard - not comfortable at all! The furniture is very outdated and there is limited space in the rooms.
The hotel is extremely clean - the public toilets and outside areas, clean towels in the room everyday and spotless pools (they cleaned them for two hours every morning). The hotel is great for kids. It has a large pool (when we went in October this was mostly in the shade all day), a baby pool (which is great - all very shallow and has plenty of sunbeds around it) and a splash pool at the bottom which is fantastic.
The food is very good. We went all inclusive and could not fault the food at all. Great for kids too - there was plenty of nuggets and chips etc. Good for adults too as there were theme nights.
There were a few 'lairy' people at the hotel when we went - typical brits abroad style but this was fine.
Entertainment on a night was ok. They had kids mini-disco, then bingo, then some kind of entertainment (this wasn't great but I think they were winding down because it was end of season).
So if you get a really cheap deal then this hotel may be worth it. Food, cleanliness and service are definitley 4 star but everything else is 3 star. Cheap and cheerful but you get what you pay for!

Room Tip: Pool view definitley so you get the sun all day. The other side of the hotel faces the road.

Lovely hotel definitely recommend. Food excellent especially the blue cheese brie and crackers, rooms clean, nice location (not far from the beach). Mad hotel entertainer he certainly earned his wage. The pools were very clean and one of them had great water facilities for kids. Lots of sunbeds. Ice lollies included in all inclusive and snacks all day.

Few small gripes - not really enough room in the entertainment bar. Queues for drinks when busy. Hotel catered for British so didn't get much Spanish food. Didn't like the fact you had to hand in your passports on arrival and retrieve them later. Accident waiting to happen with mix up over passports.

Room Tip: Higher floors are less noisy.

Just arrived from the hotel after a quick 5 night stay, to get some rest and sun!
We enjoyed our stay. However, you pay for what you get, i.e poor quality drinks, ok food and choice, average rooms and poor entertainment.

Check in - fast and efficient
Staff - very friendly and helpful
Bar - service was prompt and fast
Noise - we had a 5th floor room, so no noise
Cleanliness - excellent

There were a lot of 'chavs' at the hotel but i suppose all inclusive packages do encourage them!
The entertainment was poor, however my huband and i enjoyed watching the 'chavs' being drunk and disordely, using foul, loud language!
So if your looking for a quick, cheap holiday with 'chavs' drinking too much alcohol this is your hotel.

Room Tip: high floor
