“great holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

went bed and breakfast which was buffet style and had lots of variety, good quality too.The room was on 7th floor but fantastic see views.Very basic room, would of liked a small fridge maybe to keep drinks cold.Shower over the bath would spray the wall so had to hold on to shower to get washed(not good). Palmanova was quiet which was a reason we stayed there, only a few restaurants and shops open but enjoyed the holiday

Room Tip: if you dont like heights stay low

Stayed at the Tobago from 3rd march for a week. Was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the comments on here. From the minute we arrived all the staff we had contact with were very friendly including the cleaners---who cleaned our room every day. The room was lovely with a view of the beautiful bay and hot water at all times. Our flusher broke on the toilet, so we reported it as we were going for dinner, went back upto room after eating and it had been fixed. The food was absolutely fine, lets face it, unless you,re the fussiest eater on the planet you would never starve here. Most of the guests staying here were spanish, and the entertainment was all geared up for them, however, we met some lovely people from the UK who we had a great laugh with in the evenings so that really didnt matter to us. All in all, a nice hotel, good food, great position and the weather was good---what more could you ask for. Would definately stay here again.....

Room Tip: request a seaview room, however not sure how much noise there would be in high season.

This was our 4th visit to this hotel in the last 5 years. We stayed at this hotel 22 Feb to 1 March all inclusive for £325-23 in total (2 people). I do not understand people who complain about this hotel - it is very close to the beach and the food is fine as long as you do not expect the best cuts of meat. Do try the paella it's very nice. The staff are polite and all speak English - many of the staff I remember from previous years. One very slight grumble - provide tea ! - you only offer Camomille or black tea - give us ordinary tea as you did in the past. My Dad likes his tea. Good selection of puddings including fruit - the oranges are much nicer than the one's you get in the UK.

The clientele is 90% Spanish and about 10% British. Most suited to the over 40's I would say it is fair to say. The rooms are very clean and beds normally made while you are having breakfast.

Great view of Palma Nova beach from the balcony.

If you come at this time of year do remember alot of the shops arn't yet open.

Room Tip: Room 812 provides a good view of Palma Nova beach.

The Good:- This hotel is in a great location, very close to beaches and night life. The reception is nice, spacious and very modern. Reception staff provide a good welcome. The hotel in general looks very nice. The rooms provide great views. They are small but adequate and nicely decorated, plus they have a nice sized balcony.

The Bad:- There was no hot water for well over 36 hours. When I complained I was told that they were sorry but couldn't do anything about it. No offer of compensation or even a free drink at the bar! Poor show all round and the reason that I will not use this hotel again even though I live on the island and was staying there whilst family used our apartment (likely to be a regular thing). I will also recommend that all of my friends and relatives avoid this hotel when visiting us! How can a hotel of this supposed quality be without hot water for 36+ hours ?

The Ugly:- The bathroom was of a fair size and fitted out with good quality bath, sink, toilet and shower. It could be really nice but it is ruined by the rusty shower curtain pole! Also, the shower head is obviously new but they have used the old wall fitting which the new head does not fit so when the shower is turned on, the pressure of the water pushes the shower head up and it shoots out almost horizontally to the back wall and subsequently all over the floor. Small details that just ruin what is a pretty good effort.

A word of caution, this hotel has re=laid the balcony tiles and this means that you have to step up to go out to the balcony and down when coming back in. Not a big problem once you get used to it but we tripped going in both directions the first time we went onto the balcony. This, on it's own, is not a reason to put you off (unless you have mobility issues) but please just be aware.

Also, the site we booked through suggested the hotel had free wifi, which it did but only in the reception/lobby area. Not really acceptable in this technological age for a hotel that has been modernised to the standards that they have aimed for in this one.

Room Tip: Higher floors give better views. Try to avoid being on a low floor over the bar area as this will be...

The location was brilliant right across the road from the beach, literally 5 minute walk into palma nova, and 10 minute walk into magaluf, excellent location, food was as expected with all-inclusive but nice. Good selection of bar food. Was a cheap last minute holiday paying £175 each including flights for 4 nights stay, would definitely come back again, the rooms, hall ways, bar area, and restaurant needed to be cleaned better looked a bit grubby. Weather was amazing 33-32 degrees

Have stayed here on a number of occasions both in summer and out of season. All inclusive prices booked via booking.com are great value and there is plenty of choice from the buffet service and bar. Staff very helpful. Looking forward to another visit this March.
