“Amazing hotel, lovely views, excellent service and great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

We started off our holiday staying at the TRH Torrenova which was disappointing to say the least... (see my other review!) We finally got fed up of that one, so we came here looking to stay for the last couple of nights. We were SO impressed with this hotel. The Sol chain are great anyway, and this one did not disappoint at all.
The hotel is bright, modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and a good laugh. Feels very exclusive with the jazz pianist on at 6:45 and the funky lighting around the reception/bar area. The room was lovely and bright, offering an idyllic sea and pool view. They're well equipped with nice attention to detail, eg: mini bar/dental kit/shaving kit/supplied shower gel etc.

The pool was clean and the area around it nice. The real selling point of this hotel is its location- DIRECTLY opposite the beach and nestled in amongst some of the nice restaurants and bars. Perfect!

Would definitely return, this hotel was lovely!

Room Tip: Try and get a sea view!

Had a lovely time with my mum at sol cala blanca.the hotel is in an ideal position, it's across the road from the beach and there are many shops and cafes across the road from the main entrance.

Pool area was kept clean, we did have some trouble in getting a sun bed in the morning but during our week at the end of may, the hotel staff brought more beds out for use.

Hotel was a bit tired in some areas but this didn't upset us at all.

Staff worked very hard to look after you and the daily activities, water aerobics, Zumba etc were well attended.

Food was good, we always found something to eat and had no problems.

Would definitely return to this hotel. Enjoy!

About 20 minutes from the airport, and even if you aren't the first drop off it's still quick!

The reception staff were fine and took your luggage to your room (they have to get 4* from somewhere I suppose). They offered us an upgrade to sea view for 23e per night per room, which is half what it would have been if you had prebooked. We didn't bother as we still thought it was overpriced.

The room (437 I think) was very clean, but a little dated with odd furniture choices, and mismatched uncomfortable balcony furniture. It's a bit annoying that these view rooms seem to have lovely balcony loungers, but non-sea viewers get cheap plastic mis-matched uncomfortable rubbish! The balcony was spacious though and got the afternoon sun.

The beds were fine, and although there was some cracked plaster work the room was fine and the quality of the decor certainly didn't detract from the holiday at all. The TV didn't have the clearest reception, but we got BBC1 nearly all the time, and a few other channels - which we did use for news etc.

They must have done up the indoor pool area as it was brilliant - no one ever used it! The outside pool was fine to and there were plenty of beds most days. There were several "bed hoggers" who were allowed to get on with it (including one chap who had 2 beds and a brolly all day every day but never used them and just sat on the wall!!!)

The food was good and there was a decent selection. I'm very picky and there was only one day that I struggled. Breakfast was always fruit, cereal, pastries, cake, yogurts, fried food, pancakes and omlettes etc. Dinner always had 2 choice of soup, salad, cheese and biscuits, a roast joint, potatoes, chips, veg, 2 choices of pasta, several fish options, chops or steak, pizza etc. Desserts were ice cream, fruit, jelly, cake, mousse etc. I really don't know what more people want from choice! It isn't a huge counter of food, but it's surely better that they reload smaller pots frequently than have huge vats of stuff that sits there all night. The opening hours were also excellent.

The pool bar was ok, and only a little bit more expensive than other bra, though the sea front bars along the prom also offer good value for money.

The hotel was clean, well located, and the staff were brilliant. Ok, the rooms might need doing up, and the balcony furniture needs sorting, but the refurbed areas are lovely and hopefully they will continue to refurb the rest.

The only downside for me was the poor air con, and noise from outside. I got woken up several times by groups of people shouting and yawping in the early hours (3 and 4am, and no, they weren't young people, they sounded a lot older), but again it was a distraction, not a dampener.

Other than a piano man at night there was no entertainment in the hotel, but i think this is more reflective of the general needs and wants of the majority of the cliental who seem to go to bed as soon as they have had dinner.

We would go again and would recommend this hotel for the price.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, and don't want a sunny balcony, get a sea view room - they are quieter and...

Just had a 2 week holiday at the sol cala blanca, a great hotel ( Adults Only) six steps and your on the beach fantastic
we had a room facing the road and shops, and there is hardly any noise when patio doors are shut,we asked for sea view, but there was a supplement, but we are glad now we had this room as the sun comes round and is there till late evening, where as sea view, it dissapears at 5 o clock
Food Great ,plenty of choice every meal time
rooms cleaned every day
one problem not enough sun beds, so if you want one you have to be up early to get one
it was my husbands birthday while we were there, and in the evening the managment sent up a tray of nibbles and a bottle of champagne, which we thought was very kind of them

Room Tip: we had a room facing road and shops on the second floor which suited us

I have just recently returned from a four
Night stay at sol cala blanca and was very impressed. Myself and my cousin flew out to meet our mums aunties and my elderly nana who had gone away for the week. Before we arrived I had emailed the hotel explaining this and asked if we could have rooms as close as possible. On our arrival we were greeted and our bags carried for us and our room was right next door!! Which was great.rooms are spacious, clean, well kept and beds are very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. My nana needed a wheelchair to help with getting around and this was no trouble for the hotel to organise .The hotel has just had a make over in the reception area which is really modern. We were told whilst staying that the dinning room is due to be updated this winter but I saw no problems with it now. Food was lovely, always plenty of variety and plenty of it, some of the food was cook straight in front of u such as chicken, fish , steak, omlete etc. Always a change each night and always a clean environment to eat in. Its in a great location for beach , bars and restaurants and only a short walk to magaluf if u fancy a busier night out. There was daily evening entertainment such as guitarist, jazz band etc. we stayed half board and so went out fo lunch. There is a little restaurnt jusy over the road from the front of the hotel called 'tonys' very nice blokes who run it , very well priced and really nice .Overall excellent hotel, lovely and friendly staff and grest holiday and looking forward to staying Again!!!
