“18-30 Style Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

Lets face it - this is a hotel for the 18-30's - which as it clearly says in Thomas Cook brochure- 'LOUD & LIVELY'- which has its positives and negatives

Large pool area with music & bar (its 'local' vodka and not the big brand names) - some people complained its weak - but just ask for more to be put in it - it's all inclusive hotel. People complain it on a hill - i would call it more of a 30 second incline. Yes there are 30 steps outside the hotel - no big deal if your fit and can manage it.

Restaurant is 3 star food - but decent enough quality and variety - and also open long hours.
Hotel staff (Spanish) acknowledge you - not overly friendly - but they do their job. Because hotel is all inclusive they miss out on Tips and struggle to pull a smile. Club reps are friendly and not too in your face.

Rooms are basic and small - but mine was clean. No fridge and air-con didn't work (a common complaint).

Noise at night is an issue if you want a fall nights sleep. Heard complaints of people banging on doors in the early hours. I was in the back - and 1 guest room in the neighbouring hotel kept me awake one night (All night). Gangs coming back from the clubs at 4am will make a noise and your will hear them if your a light sleeper.

Prostitutes approached me (and everyone else) every night on the entrance road to the hotel (you can't avoid them) - and they are annoying from 2:30am onwards. Be careful around them, they get too close for comfort and are known to be pickpockets. Walk past them and do not engage in conversation. I didn't have any trouble, but i did hear of others who did. Staff from a nearby bar warned me about them.

So overall - its a loud and lively hotel - exactly as it says in the brochure.
I had a good time there, (and would go back), but its not really for couples who want a quieter time, and defo not for families with kids.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front if possible (facing the pool). - although you get the benefits of evenin...

Just returned from the Honolulu Hotel....the experience was something else!
The staff at the hotel were fine just the guests were absolutley revolting, disguting, dirty yobs taking full advantage of the all inclusive alcohol from the minute the bar opens. The hotel was in a pretty good location and the only thing that disturbed you anytime from 5am were the doors banging and shouting from the balconies with no consideration for others.
The food was average with veal on the menu most evenings - ok if you like veal!!!! The snacks are not clearly visible and we only found them on the last day!!!
The hotel is on a pretty decent hill on the way back and of course the prostitutes at the end of the road for which there were some horrific stories about muggings.
As for the air-conditioning, as per the other reviews is non existent making the rooms at night uncomfortable and unbearable.
The best thing about this holiday was the weather. :)

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

As my holiday was approaching the views of this hotel were getting worse but i thought most people exaggerate on these kind of websites- it wont be that bad....everything people have said of this hotel is true. Its not in Palma Nova its a 2 min walk from Magaluf strip which didnt bother me at all but beware as although its not mentioned on alot of the travel operators sites this hotel is aimed at 18-30. im up for a laugh and havin fun but this hotel should be aimed at people who are drunken idiots who want to destroy their accomodation and ruin every1s holiday! To be fair the hotel itself is fine and as we were all inclusive the food was actually quite nice and lots of variety but the people who go there ruin the experience, the staff are constantly cleaning the hotel...no wonder when there is neon paint all over the walls, condoms lying on the stairs that have been launched as waterbombs from balconys along with towels, toilet rolls etc. there are some scary looking prostitutes at the end of the private road,i heard from a few people-girls and boys- who were attacked by them also one guy didnt have any shame in paying for 1 of them and giving the people on their balconies a view. alot of the younger boys were taking drugs at the poolside in full view of every1, partys go on all through the night. Also no offence to Steavy and Jazzy but how they can be called "entertainment staff" baffles me....nice enough guys but all they do is sit about looking hungover and chat 2 people and Jazzy might blow his whistle once a day where every1 has 2 get out the pool and the last to do so has to skinny dip. the rooms are very small and warm but we had 1 with a seaview which we were happy about. if id paid half of what i paid to go 2 this hotel i dont think i would have minded so much but when the hotel are charging close to £800 p/p then its an absolute joke. if u want a major p*ss up and dont have any respect for where u are then this hotel is def for u!

Room Tip: if u do go here request a sea view as the views were stunning!

I have never written a review on a hotel but after my experience last week I felt that this was really needed! This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, we chose the hotel pretty much on the location and the fact that it had air conditioning. I need to make one thing clear- this hotel does NOT have air conditioning!! It has a small fan which blows pretty much just dirt and grime into a small square of the room- not near the beds! Therefore you have to open your balcony door to let any air in what so ever and then come the musical delights of absolute idiots screaming and throwing stuff of their balconies until roughly 5am when they either pass out from drink and screaming or get attacked by the prostitutes outside the hotel (fingers crossed!)
We only ate here for breakfast twice and that was enough, the food was cold rubber and a lot of it I couldn't tell what it was! There was always chips but who wants to go away on holiday to eat the same rubbish you can get here!
The rooms were 'cleaned' once a week but there was a long black hair on the wall of our shower for the whole week and we had to dust of our feet before leaving or getting into bed because of all the dirt and dust on the floor.
On the second night our light fell of the wall and the hotel really didn't care, they just sent up a confused Spanish man with a light bulb!
The shower is either freezing cold or scalding hot so again another fun factor when staying this hell hole!

As you can see from above I would never stay here again and would advise anyone considering this hotel to look somewhere else. Try digging a hole in your own back garden as it would be better than Hi honolulu!

Just returned from a fabulous week in the sun at the Honolulu in Palma Nova! Right at the end of the Magalluf strip! This is a hotel for 18-30 or hen/stag parties. NOT for the faint hearted. Says adults only, but basically full of animals. My dogs act better than some of the patrons here. Hotel itself works very hard to keep up with this lot, constant clean-up. Outside areas including pool very clean. Maid came daily to room and new towels, sheets given. Very basic room, but considering the patrons I wouldn't put anything of value in them either. Don't know why most people thought the drinks were watered down, the bar staff open the bottles in front of you and there were plenty drunk folk stotting about as proof to the alcohol content. Going on previous reviews the food was so much better than anticipated. A huge choice every day. I think its the age group that review this badly considering they all lived on chips, tatties, cheese and gravy! We lived on full breakfast, fish dishes, local dishes, veal, venison, chicken, fresh fruit, salads, and always a pork dish on the menu. We spent our days by the pool and always got a sunlounger and sun brolly and gossip about all the young ones! Kept us amused. Hotel should do something about prostitutes at end of road, no bother to us, but young lads on their own were getting frisked and robbed by all of them. All in all I'm glad we went, but don't think we'll return to this particular hotel again. Spoke to a soldier just back from Afghanistan and he says he got more sleep there!!

Room Tip: Rooms with a pool view and high up in hotel are quieter, but if you're over 30 just book another...

Returned from a 'Holiday' staying at the Honolulu on Monday, and it has taken both me and my wife a few days to catch up on some sleep. The noise throughout the early hours from the inconsiderate 'adults' returning from their night out was unbelievable.
The hotel is advertised as being an adult only hotel, ideal for couples etc.I would change that description straight away to a hotel suited mostly to Stag and Hen crowds and 18 to 30 holidays.
We stayed in this hotel back in 2009 and was well pleased with everything, that is the reason we booked again.I will read all the reviews from now on including hotels we have stayed in before.
Just 100 metres from the main entrance several prostitutes were plying their trade,we heard a few stories during the week of drunken youths being mugged by them,so make sure you are not alone returning to the hotel.
The A/C was very limited and bearly cooled the room down, and it was an essential for the week we stayed.
On a brighter note, the staff were very polite and the rooms were cleaned daily. The food was OK,limited choice, but OK.The location couldn't really be better, right next door to the Slingshot ride on Terranova and less than 10 minutes from the beach. The nearest bars are just 2 minutes away from the main entrance.
So if you have booked this hotel due to a previous stay or are older than 30,CHANGE HOTEL NOW.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor rooms to minimise the noise. Corner suites get the sun twice a day (Room 527)M...
