“Plain but pleasant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

visited here march 3 2013 apartment was clean and basic and manager was lovely, it was chilly first thing in the morning and evening and we were given the controls to put heating on, she also gave us a tv to watch - very helpful to us and magaluf itself was great. These apartments were close to the strip and lots of places were closed at the beginning of the holiday but lots of places soon started to open up

Good enough wee place to stay, I searched for ages for a good deal on a cheap hotel and came across this one, looked at pictures and the reviews didn't find it eye catching but it was the cheapest so i went for it anyways! The advantages are the location its fantastic just at the top of the strip minutes from BCM, we never had any complaints and got on with everyone else in the hotel the rooms were cleaned regularly and were very spacious. The disadvantages are that at a certain time the water went cold and i mean freezing cold. Another disadvantage is that the hotel doesn't have a pool but we were able to use the pool just around the corner in hotel Teix. On the last day before we went home we went to go out to get few things and we left and the woman who owns the hotel locked us out, money, mobiles, passports, cases the lot was locked it, luckly we had a small friend with us who was able to fit his arm in to reach the floor brush to open the door, the owner is a grumpy old woman but we rarely seen her. Overall was ok for what we paid for excellent location and wouldnt doubt going back as we has so much banter!!

Room Tip: Not really much choice on rooms.

I went here with 3 other friends from the 11th till 18th of June. When we arrived, we were pretty disappointed with first impressions. But then things starting looking up. we read on a website you had to pay 45 euros on arrival, we only had to pay 20. we got to our room and we literally couldnt believe our luck! nice little kitchen and bathroom, bedroom with two beds, living room with two beds, desk, mirror, chair & tables & a balcony with chairs.. what more could we have asked for? rooms were pretty clean and very spacious. now for the bad things, okay i know its a hot country but there were ants EVERYWHERE & im very scared of anything like that! 'hot' water was sometimes cold. the owners speak no english and are very ignorant. there was never an understanding when they were coming to clean and when they did someone was always in there so they only cleaned are rooms once. me and my girl mate were sweeping and wiping down tables every day etc. as everyone knows, magaluf is a clubbing destination, and okay, i was EXTREMLY loud and we played very loud music every night and the police were called but they threatened to throw us out because of the noise! i felt sick and couldnt make it to the toilet so was sick over the balcony and the owner was screaming at me. on the last day, they wouldnt give us our deposit back and wouldnt let us leave our suitcases there when we wernt leaving till 7 at night and we had to check out by 10 am, we offered money. luckily we knew another group of friends from home staying in another hotel. Just as we were leaving, my best friend dropped 20 euros on the floor by accident and the owner picked it up off the floor and said go away (i think) and wouldnt give it him back! SO RUDE!! amazing apparments for what you pay but AWFUL owners. another two good things is theres a lovely little shop below, the owners there are so nice. Me & my irish friend I met in magaluf gave them so much custom they gave us some free alcohol! theres also a lovely takeaway just accross the road!
oh, one more thing ... if you go to magaluf, dont expect to sleep and if you cant get to sleep because of other people making noise, dont be a spoil sport and snitch of them.. youre on holiday.. live a little :)!

Stayed here in September for 4 nights with my Mate for closing parties in Maga. took us about half hour to check in cuz there was nobody in. then we had to pay 40 euros deposit. Room was fine, very basic but spacious. it was a room for 4 people but there was only 2 of us, had a kitchen, dining area and balcony. Rooms were abit dirty but we did only pay £9.00 a night so we wernt fussed. They were cleaned twice and had fresh towels everyday. Apartments are really close to the strip so it is really noisy all the time but who goes to Magaluf to sleep?

The Manager is vile and awful.. he cant speak one word of english and is grumpy and angry. we heard him having a go at another room for banging on their door to loudly to wake their friend up, i thought he was going to hit them. Very nasty man!

if your just looking for a bog standard room that your only unsing to get changed in & grab one hour sleep here and there this is your place.

i definatly stay here again, £9.00 a night gives you more money for drinks then :)

I stayed in Kensington apartments with my friend. we were given a nice large apartment for 4 people. It was equiped sufficiently, we were only missing a knife. I was surprised that there was a laundromat and an iron in the room. Location is very good- it is situated between two very nice beaches, they can be reached in 3 minutes.

What I didn´t like at all was the behaviour of the owner. He took 40 EUR deposit and we had to pay the whole stay at check in. On internet they proclaimed to accept credit cards, but when we arrived, he said we must pay in cash (so we had to withdraw more money from the ATM which caused us of course more money!). He spoke only spanish, he was even not willing to communicate in any other language (although we speake english, german, french and russian). The apartment was never cleaned, only once in 7 days we had our towels changed. There were thousands of ants everywhere. The aircondition did not work so it was unbelievable hot at night there. we coulnd´t leave the window opened because of the street noise.

Next time I rather pay more money for a better quality.

Me and 2 girls stayed in the kensington for a week... Well we were supposed to anyway. After 2 days, our apartment door got broken into and the glass was smashed. We tried to report this to the landlord, but he doesn't speak a word of english, and didn't intend on trying to understand. On the 4th day, after the cleaners spotted this broken door which we already had tried to explain, the landlord told us that if we didn't pay 240 euros for this door, then we had to leave in 10 minutes. Along with the 20 euro deposit per person we had to pay, that would have been 100 euros each for a door that got smashed into, which we had nothing to do with. He kicked 3 girls out onto the street with nowhere to stay at 11pm! While the apartments are fine for the price, it is not worth it to have to stay with such an inconsiderate man. Look elsewhere for accommodation.
