I stayed with some friends and had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel is situated in a tranquil location in the Mallorcan mountains which are perfect for hiking and spectacular views across the local olive groves and orchards. The rooms are all unique and charming, much like the rest of the hotel which has a home-from-home feel, but with the privacy you want from a holiday. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, even hosting a dinner party for guests. The food is great, and drinks readily available. I had a brilliant time and would recommend Ca'n Reus to anyone!

Room Tip: I stayed in a room at the very top of the hotel it was cosy and very traditional!

My wife and I recently stayed here for six days having found the hotel through google search and checking out reviews on Trip Advisor. Our stay was so perfect--everything about it--that I asked myself how could there be some uncomplimentary reviews on this web site. Perhaps it's because the word "hotel" creates certain expectations in one's mind. Maybe "inn" or "bed and breakfast" might work better for some. You could not stay at a more romantic, charming, better-run and maintained facility. From our first contact, the handling of money, the magnificent breakfasts on the deck over-looking the mountain views, through the morning we left for home (Florida USA), we were always well served. If you're open to it, you'll experience this place as being full of dedication and love.

Room Tip: The rooms described as having a view of the mountains.

I stayed in this hotel for almost a week with two friends and we absolutely loved it. It was summer and very hot out, so we spent hours by the pool sipping cold drinks in the beautiful garden, which is embedded within the Majorcan hills. It was relaxing and peaceful. Sue and Nick, the owners of the hotel, recommended some great walks, one of which ended at a lovely restaurant overlooking the coast and the sea. We were also lucky to be at Ca'n Reus for one of their famous dinners, which consisted of four courses and plenty of wine for a very reasonable price. Before dinner, we had drinks at the small bar in the village square, which I recommend. Importantly, in such extreme heat, the rooms remained cooled thanks to modern air conditioners. I will definitely return again to this special hotel. The setting is breathtakingly beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful.

This beautiful Mallorcan house, set in the slopes of the stunning Soller valley, makes a lovely hotel - an absolute gem. The owners Sue and Nick, and staff make your stay so relaxing that it feels like your own home. The hotel was quiet when we arrived and whithout us requesting it, our room was upgraded to one of their rooms with a view of the valley and the mountains - all at no extra cost.
There are maps and walking guides in the hotel and owner Sue has supplied descriptions for half a dozen easy walks to get you started.
The village is fabulous, there are some good restaurants, great inexpensive local cafe/bars, a proper square and lots of walking right from the hotel door.

Sue and Nick go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one and we will most definitely be back!

We ended up at this hotel by chance seven years ago, looking for simple accomodation in the best spot for mountain walking. What we thought would be a humble B&B turned out to be an absolute gem. A tiny, gorgeous hotel in what must be the most beautiful location on the island. Also an ideal spot for any level of walking with such diverse scenery as lemon and orange groves, gardens and villages, terrassed olive groves, sleepy sheep, rugged mountains with all sorts of wildlife and even the pebbled beaches on the nearby coast. The terrace and garden at the back of the hotel are lovely for afternoon relaxing in the sun after a day in the mountains. Breakfast is fantastic and offers all you can wish for, even by scandinavian standards of rustic brown bread, yoghurt, müsli and fruit.

This is a family run hotel with a homely atmorphere. If you are looking for 24 h reception, flatscreen tv and room service, please go somewhere else. The friendly hosts although, will go at lengts to try to arrange anything you might wish for, and can help with bookings and walking tips, or afternoon tea in the garden. The village does not offer loud nightlife or roaring mopeds, but a selection of nice traditional mallorcan restaurants and one or two bars for a late drink.

After our first visit we cant imagine staying anywhere else in the Tramuntana mountains and have become regular guests for 6 years.

There are so many wonderful places to visit, but just this once we have returned again to this charming little hotel in the peaceful mountains of Mallorca. Not only is the building so full of character, but the setting is so beautiful. The staff are exceptionally helpful and cater, for example, with my wife's need for a gluten free diet with every curtesy and care. It's a great place to stay, and the best in Fornalutx, whether you want to laze around or go on some fairly strenuous walks. i cannot imagine anyone being disappointed.

Spent a very relaxing 5 days in Ca'n Reus at the end of August. Had stayed before while on an InnTravel walking holiday and it certainly was one of the more memorable hotels I've ever stayed in. Small and perfectly formed, each room is individually decorated and is very comfortable. My room faced onto the street and I was delighted that it was so quiet.
As others have mentioned the breakfasts are truly memorable - the freshest ingredients cooked simply (eg asparagus with parmesan cheese) and local delicacies always form part of the fabulous spread. Communal areas are comfortable - there's a lovely lounge with a huge selection of books to choose from should you be low on reading material. Outside, breakfast is eaten on a terrace that must have one of the best mountain views in Mallorca - it's stunning! Often the only sounds heard are the tinkle of a cowbell and the local rooster making his presence felt - utterly charming. The little garden is home to a lovely little swimming pool which is surrounded by lime and orange trees. Sue, Nick and the team are perfect hosts and very helpful. Sue and Nick are both avid walkers and are happy to discuss walking options nearby and further afield. They even offered to take me out on a walk - unfortunately the heat put pay to that idea! But I did do a solo walk on one of the cooler days (35 degrees!) down to Porto Soller, which is definitely worth a visit.
It's fair to say that Ca'n Reus is one of my favourite places to stay and I can't wait to return!
