“Great place for coffee and lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

A great place to relax with great views across the rooftops to the mountains from the terrace. This is a small bar with big outdoor area serving great food and the best coffee in Deia. We ducked in here to escape a downpour and stayed for coffee. As the rain continued we stayed for lunch, and so glad we did.....

This looks like a simple bar, clearly popular with locals, ex-pats and those like us on holiday in the area. What is not clear from street level (you go up a stone flight of stairs to get to the bar) is the quality of the food here. From the bar you can see the chef at work, turning out delicious pastries, cakes and lunches, the quality and inventiveness of which is excellent. We visited a number of times working through the menu and popped up to buy cakes to take home. Each time just as good.

“best burger in town!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

We went to this cafe every evening, but this day we decided to pop up the stairs to the cafe for coffee and relaxing, we decided to lunch here, I had a superb goats cheese salad with passion fruit reduction and my partner ordered burger and salad. My salad was delicious with melted local goats cheese and my partner's burger was absolutely excellent!!! The day before we had lunched at La Residencia and Burger not up to scratch, Sa Fonda Wins with Top Marks !!!!!!XXXX

“A bar, more than a restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2011

This bar up some steps, opposite the village shop, has been our regular drinking spot in Deia. When you have walked up from the beach and your tongue is hanging out, this place quenches one's thirst with some of the cheapest beer in Deia. It is the hang out of "alternative" Deia, and there is often live music in the evening. It is always full of "characters" There is shady seating outside and it is always quicker to go to the bar and order rather that wait to be served. There is a new menu this year with a very ecelectic mix of dishes. We have never eaten there. We treat it as a village pub and go for the beer and people watching. Inside it is rather tired, you go here to drink and meet friends.
I hope I am painting the picture. There is a very strange hermaphrodite carving supporting the bar that leaves nothing to imagination. I do not think they have a phone. It is the complete opposite to the rest of Deia and a wonderful change.
