We have just got back from a week's holiday staying in Calma Hotel. The hotel is owned by FRAM and is a French hotel. We were given no help or information during our stay and the staff speak French and Spanish and very little English. All leaflets, entertainment and notices are in French so we felt quite lost. Having said that, the staff are friendly. The rooms were clean but we were greeted by 2 glasses in the bathroom that had dried up old toothpaste stuck to the bottom and were chipped. There are no amenities in the room even though some websites say they have hairdryers/kettles etc. You couldn’t hire them from the hotel either. The food is pretty standard to a lot of hotels and there is no choice for vegetarians other than salad. The majority of the guests are of retirement age. The pool is tiny and there is nothing much for children, so anyone with children would be better off at the beach everyday or staying in a different hotel

Can Pastilla itself is a pretty resort with very little night life and is very much an older persons resort. There are several bars in the resort. They are very low key but friendly.

Palma is a short bus ride away and cost 1.20 Euros and is well worth visiting.

The La Calma was not more Spanish , but sold to Fracom ,
a France concern. It just heropened when we got there.
Many France guest so the food [ buffet ] was very good.
And me , being a chef in Holland , i know about that.
Allso on the boulevard Le Blu had very good snacks and
CruzCampo beer [ better than SanMiguel ] from the tap ,
half a liter for 2.50 euro.
We are thinking about a new visit there.
