“FABULOUS HOLIDAY!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

We stayed at the Hotel for 7 nights over the Easter period. Didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them. Check In was very smooth and the staff very efficient and helpful. We were All Inclusive and were not disappointed at all with standard of the food which was always very varied, something for everyone. The Restaurant staff were so hard working and never stopped. Our All Inclusive drinks were in glasses which does make a difference, most Hotels we have been too in the last few years, they have served the All Inclusive drinks in plastic cups, not a good selling point at all!!! The bar staff were just as efficient as the Waiters and were always at hand all day for your drinks from the bar, they all had a good sense of humour which does help!!!
We had room 410 with a front sea view, we did pay a bit extra for the view but it was so worth it. We overlooked mainly onto the Marina which was so nice to wake up to each morning, it did make it even more appealing as the sun was shining every day!!! We found the rooms to be very adequate for our needs, plenty of space, nice and clean, the bathroom was spacious and clean, a good power shower, no complaints what so ever about the room. It was serviced every day and clean towels were left.
The Hotel was busy with mainly Spanish who were enjoying their Easter break, it didn't bother us at all as we know what to expect with the Spanish, we lived on the Costa Del Sol for seven years so got used to their lifestyle. We did meet some lovely people and must give a mention to our lovely German friends that we got to know, Elsbeth and Joe from Wassenberg, very beautiful people.
The location of the Hotel was perfect and so so relaxing, we spent many an hour on the terrace in the comfy wicker chairs watching the world go by!!
We really don't have any negative points, maybe the televisions could be updated, we could only receive the English channels at certain times, the signal was lost at some stages throughout the day.
All in all a big thank you to Las Arenas Hotel and all the staff for making our stay a memorable one, we will be back again most certainly!!

Room Tip: It is worth paying for a seaview. The views are beautiful to wake up to. We were on the 4th floor wh...

I cannot write a full review of this hotel as we didn't get to stay. BE WARNED, THEY OVER BOOK!!! We were told on arrival the the hotel is full. No apology, no explanation...... NOTHING!!!
The sister hotel must have been near full as our rooms are over the noisiest service area where we are woken at 1am each morning by the refuse being collected. Also air con blowing warm air. Decent communication by the management at Las Arenas would have gone someway to defusing my anger. This is no way to treat paying customers. I never thought I would say I'm glad this is my last night. Such as shame to feel this way in my beloved Majorca!!

We stayed 10 days in this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is ideally situated near a lovely beach and close to the town.We enjoyed the lovely coastal walk along to Palma. We found the hotel staff friendly and professional. The food was good and varied and the buffet was actually hot which in our experiance is not always the case.Rooms are a bit tired and could do with more storage and electric plugs but ok.Will visit again thank you

Room Tip: 429 ok with nice view

My daughter and I have just returned from a four night stay at Las Arenas. The location is perfect. We enjoyed a large sea view room on the first floor. Food and service is excellent and all areas well maintained. I particularly liked the artwork decor. Thank you all for a relaxing break.

We stayed here for one night at the end of our holiday in Majorca as the hotel is close to the airport (10 min drive). The hotel has a good location close to the sea and is nice walk to the centre of Palma. The staff were very friendly.

On the other hand the food for dinner was not great at all, parking is quite difficult and the rooms could be modernised. The internet was very slow and there was only one plug available to charge.

Overall a good hotel for one night but not for a longer stay.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

I have stayed in this hotel both in 2012 and 2013 courtesy of Seniors Travel Spain and John Galligan Travel. It is an hotel which grows on you as it is most comfortable and the hotel staff are dedicated to guest comfort. At Reception checking in is quick, friendly and efficient even when a full coach of guests arrive. The trip from Palma Airport is only a short distance away.
The hotel is located on a street corner, is easily accessible with provision for wheel-chair access by means of a ramp. The hotel has an open air seating area at the side access as well as an open seating section streetside outside the bar. The street front appears to be facing south and bedrooms on the east south and west receive sunlight throughout the day. The rooms are comfortable, The majority have a small balcony with table and chairs for relaxing, The rooms have a fridge, safe etc. The bedrooms are cleaned daily by house-keeping.
Food is served in the dining room and generally provides a wide variety of dishes to suit most palates. However, as it is a buffet service it occasionally builds up. The restaurant staff are efficient as regards seating and most helpful with service. There is a disadvantage as regards the hotel lifts in that they are old, small in size and can be temperamental at meal times when summoned!
Ca'n Pastilla is an old style town with narrow streets and a variety of shops. There is a marina opposite the hotel. The views from the hotel are panoramic with long beaches stretching away into the distance and mountans in the backdrop. The town is mostly low level with wide foot-paths and a panacea of routes for the walker or jogger or biker. Adjacent to the marina is a sheltered cove suitable for either bathing or sun-worshipping. Further along there are a variety of walks along the clifftops mostly on paved paths. It is possible to walk to Palma on the paths. .
Palma is about a 10 minute journey away with access by either taxi or urban bus services. However. do negotiate taxi fares in advance as they can be "upped" mysteriously by the drivers. This city is a must for either shopping or viewing the numerous historical buildings, especially the cathedral. Open top buses are probably the way to go as regards a comprehensive appraisal of the urban area. There are are pletora of bars cafes in the centre and a plentiful array of stores, museums and magnificant buildings Walking in the centre is a must!
Ca'n Pastilla is a resort for relaxing and with wide possibilities for exploring as regards golfing and various outdoor pursuits. The island itself has a historical wine industry which dates back to Roman times and from which wine was exported to the empire. A likely place to enjoy and to return to again! . .

Room Tip: Most rooms have sunlight during the day but south or west facing are better.
