Me and a group of friends stayed here at Hotel Samoa in May this year.
The hotel is all inclusive and we eat there twice daily. The food was ok...it wasnt amazing however there was plenty of choice. The salad bar was very nice aswell as the desserts. Main meals varied each day including chicken, pork , vegetables, pasta , chilli, veal, chicken nuggets. Lots of fresh bread and fruits aswell. Breakfast was decent aswell even the odd looking bacon!! Plenty of cereals, fresh bread, fruits and yoghurt.
The snack bar available during the day wasnt particularly impressive. .we didnt eat in there as we were out most days.
Our rooms were quite basic with the bathroom being the best bit of the room! Very clean and good maid service regularly.
Evening entertainment was fun..we watched most evenings and participated in some of the activities!!
Domingo who is the leader of the animation team for entertainment is hilarious and will have you in stitches most days!!
If you head out to the bars later on in the evening you will most probably see another one of the animation team Orlando who will More than likely be dancing the night away !!!!
The local shops all sell the same souvenir stuff there are some lovely little gift shops towards the back of the shopping square.
There is a bar/cafe called central that does an absolutely amazing Fry up....it was huge and very tasty!! Proper english breakfast!!
There is one tobacco shop towards the back of the center, this is the only place you can get cigarettes as no bars or restaurants sell them and they are closed on a sunday.
The beach is also very close , its not huge but its decent with sunbeds and parasols, there is a cafe and a little Shop to buy pizzas and ice lollys.
If you decide to get the bus to palma it stops outside the hotel however do not rely on the timetable and double check times coming back as we got stuck in palma for 3 hrs after being given the wrong information.
The market at manacor is a good morning out..its massive and sells absolutely everything! Lots of lovely leather handmade bags!!
For a night out you are a little limited as there isnt much in the way of nightlife!! Jupiters bar is ok..ask for mike he is originally from manchester and is really welcoming and friendly! Its has good music but doesnt get that busy , its situated across the road on the right in the shopping complex part. There is also tiffanys bar which is brilliant!!!! Fab music and open until 5am!! Its also very local , right out of the hotel and next left. LADIES!!! I will warn you there is a bar man named Warren who works there who is a massive charmer!!! Beware haha!! The other staff like manager pedro and the other barmen!!
All in all a lovely holiday however not quite sure it would be suited to a young group like ourselves just because of there not being much nightlife!! Im guessing main season would be a bit more lively though.
I would recommend this hotel to a family :) or a group looking for a quiet holiday break
