We booked this trip with co op travel with Thomas Cook. Me and my girlfriend were both 21 at the time we stayed for one week. We knew that this hotel would be very big, busy and full of families with kids which it was. It is very much a 3 star all inclusive hotel with no surprises.
Good points were.. Where the hotel is located is great, 10 mins walk from the beach, the bars were decent, the main road is close with bus stops right there. Thomas Cook also had some great excursions and we went on 2 of them both great,,'eastern encounter' and 'discover majorca'. The room we got was a decent size, with a ceiling fan, decent size bathroom, decent size ballcony with a great view. Very large lounge areas inside and outside, very good locals beers and spirits at the bar(it does make a difference). Two great pools and loads of lawn space, alot of places to get some piece and quiet.
At half eight every night there was the mini disco for the kids which lasted half an hour. This would be very anoying if it was any longer and i recomend having a few drinks before and while it's on cause it's a good laugh singing along to all the silly songs when a bit drunk. Then bingo at about half 9 which was decent. After that there was either a play or some sort of show for the adults, only half these were good. The hotel was very clean but sometimes because of the sheer amount of guests it did get a tad messy by the bar and pool.
Fair points were.. Meals. All Buffets. I'm not fussy but I can see how some people would be. Breakfast: Typical continental stuff.. Eggs, ham, cheese etc and some very strange potato options such as potato ring things with sugar on top. A decent full english option every morning also.. Bacon, Fried egg, scrambled egg, beans etc and always loads of different bread options. The drinks wern't too great with breakfast, it was always water of course, orange or tropical cordial which always came out too strong.
Lunch: Chips were always on, some sort of meat or fish option, vege, the bread options just like breakfast and a good salad selection. soup. Tea, Coffee and soft drinks(pepsi, 7up etc).
Dinner: Pretty much like lunch but usually with piella or an itallian dish like lasagna. Pasta and sause was always on. some nights we had roasts but they wern't that great.
3 star food really.
During the day there was also a snack bar serving, pizza, chips burgers etc, this was OK.
Bad points were.. They lied to us about the air conditioning in the rooms, they said it was broken in most rooms and would be fixed within a few days, this was not the case at all. It didn't bother me but if it was hotter I would've complained. We did have the ceiling fan which did help alot. Plus near the end of our stay, in the lounge area at night there were so many kids running round, we were tripping over them almost. Parents... control your kids please.
Tip... Don't keep your room key card next to any magnets like on a handbag cause it'll stop working which happend to us a few times before we realised.
Overall a great holiday and a decent hotel, lively, not too noisy.
