“Chilled laid back atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

Fantastic relaxing holiday. The Sea Club has a very chilled laid back atmosphere, perfect for winding down. Set right next to the sea in a predominantly German tourist area with loads of options for eating out, the Sea Club is a tranquil oasis of calm.
Nick, Luis and Jenny are very welcoming and make you feel as if you are visiting a family home rather than a hotel.
Our family room was quite plain and basic but that was reflected in the price - very good value. Some of the other rooms appeared more recently decorated and stylish.
Our two girls absolutely loved the animals here - 3 smallish dogs, 2 cats and a tortoise. All very patient and willing to be stroked.
Noisy music from local bars a few nights we were there but seemed to stop by 10.30 or 11 o'clock.
Breakfast was great, buffet style, loads of choice. Cooked breakfast available if you wanted it.
The bar was well stocked and operated partially on an honesty bar basis depending whether someone was around. Nick made us fantastic mojitos one night - well worth a try.
Directly outside the club the turquoise sea breaks onto a rocky sea front, five minutes walk away is a lovely gently shelving sandy beach.
On our last night we ate in the Restaurant del Mar next door which was a cut above the other touristy restaurants along the front, wish we had realised sooner!

Room Tip: If you don't want to eat out all the time, book well in advance to get one of the studios or fam...

I found the Sea Club last year...and realised that it was exactly the venue I had been looking for to host a Holistic holiday...well have just returned from the 1st Sanjo Holiday...it really was the most perfect setting.....we had a morning meditation and a workshop on a private terrace.....the whole place had the most relaxing atmosphere......we even found a private beach to do a sunrise meditation....everything about the whole week could not have been better. Luis Jenny and Nick were great hosts and most helpful, I can't wait to come back for the next holiday, which we will be in October...... Sandra Sanjo

A girl friend and I went to The Sea Club for some last minute sun and rest before the winter kicked in. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The club is a family run haven. The decor is beautiful - low key faded English grandeur. We were shown around the rooms and each one has a charm of its own, beautiful paintings, antique furniture and well appointed bathrooms, many with their own terrace overlooking the sea. I would recommend asking for a room with a sea view. We spent our time around the pool, soaking up the sun and the fun atmosphere and were made to feel very much at home. Luis took us for a spin along the beautiful coast in his speed boat and we snorkeled in turquoise waters in a bay not far from the club. I thoroughly recommend you do this. We will be returning next year with a group of friends as it already feels like home.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful with lots of character but the ones with a sea view are particularly spe...

I love the Sea Club and have been going there with the regularity of a returning swallow. I now organise a group of friends there each summer for a party over a long weekend. The Sea Club, owned by Luis and Jenny, is an attractive, family run club (hotel sounds far too corporate a description). It’s pretty, by the Sea, with views over distant rocky points. The place centres round a semi-circular bar. And if sons Nick and Dan aren't there you just help yourself and write it down. Every morning you a have a tough call to make: do you go out on Luis' speed boat for waterskiing or snorkelling to quiet unspoilt coves, or do you just read and relax around the pool, then go off for a long, long lunch of gambas and calamari and masses of Rosado?

Either way, Nick and Dan have always provided delicious cocktails to revive and amazingly I never seem to have a hangover.

Must be all that sea air.

The Sea-Club is a rustic family run business, so you'll be charmed from the moment you walk in, and become a member of the 'family'. My husband and I have been going for a few years now, and it feels like we are returning to see much loved family every time we go. The relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff makes you feel so welcome and valued. Its a home from home. You will meet the most amazing people, share the best laughs and enjoy many great adventures :-D! Looking forward to meeting you there! X

We loved our holiday because everyone was so friendly staff and guests. The setting was fabulous in front of the sea and surrounded by a beautiful garden and our rooms were beautifully decorated and very confortable. We would all highly recommend The Sea Club .
