I am at the Sumba hotel now and have been here for 4 days. The hotel is great, we arrived at 12.45am and were welcomed by a friendly member of staff that showed us to the restaurant where we had some food, this was great after the long 2 hour coach ride to get here! We were then given the key to our room, we were on the first floor and had a see view! The room is great, modern and very clean. The bathroom looks like it has just been refurbished and it looks great with a large walk in shower. The balconys are very big and have 2 chairs a table and still lots of room, we had a great sea view which was lovely. The wardrobe is very big and has around 20 hangers in total with lots shelves too, there is also a dressing table and 2 bed side tables.
We stayed on an All inclusive basis and the food is nice and always hot but it is boring as there are the same things everyday, so we will be going somewhere else to eat tonight for something different, but that is the only fault I have of the hotel. The desserts are lovely though, and there is pancakes in the morning. Fruit is always available and salads are available at lunch and dinner. Chips, meats, fish, pasta, beans, eggs, and cheese are the main foods. The staff in the restaurant are always very busy cleaning and clearing tables, but are still very friendly, as soon as we sat down there was always a member of staff asking us if we would like a drink which was very helpful and friendly. Queues started appearing at tea time at around 7.30 so going before then saves queuing.
There is free Internet access in the hotel which is a bonus!
There is an indoor pool and sauna, jacuzzi and gym which are all free to use which is good as the outdoor pool is freezing! Most of the gym equipment didn't work though. You can also get massages which cost just 10 euros in the hotel too. The hotel is mainly full of Germans or Spanish people so some of the staff are not very good at English but try their best!
The hotel in itself is great, cleaners never stop cleaning and the location of the hotel is great too, you are right on the beach! just cross the small road and you are there, the beach is beautiful too! There is lots of shops, restaurants and cafe's near by too and the price we paid to go here was well worth it!
