I stay here alone for a relaxing time and I had a great journey: I'm Italian and I can say the food was really good and with a wide variety. You can reach the beach with 200mt walking and Cala Millor has great crystal sea water and a nice beach. You can move easily to Cala Agulla, Cala Rajada, Cala Mesquida that are some of the most beautiful beach of Majorca far only 15km from Hipocampo. Hotel staff is friendly and support customers in every requests. If I will come back to Majorca, I will in Hipocampo Palace. Great escape!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel 5 times now and it never fails to impress.
The hotel staffs are always friendly, polite and courteous. The hotel itself is clean and very well kept.
I would, however, recommend this hotel to couples only as the hotel isn’t really setup for children.
Being neither ‘German or geriatric’ I would highly recommend this hotel for a complete break from the normal routine of life and sit back and enjoy the fact that, even though there aren’t many English speaking people around, you aren’t in England anymore, to get that one should perhaps go to Blackpool!

The Hipocampo Palace is a 5* hotel.
We booked & stayed in a suite which was well furnished with plenty of wardrobe space for the 3 of us (2 Adults + a 2yr old), plus dressing gowns & slippers. Room was cleaned to a very high standard daily.
Most of the staff were very pleasant, making a fuss of our 2yr old.
We were given a table on the first night for dinner, which it soon materialised we should have stayed at for the duration, although many people do move around the terrace / restaurant.
Food choice for breakfast & dinner was enormous. With fresh fish & meat being cooked to your requirement for dinner instead of being sat around kept warm. Quality of the food absolutely superb.
Drinks in the restaurant a reasonable price.
Plenty of loungers by pool, each with a parasol if required. Pool towels also available for a deposit which was returned at the end of the holiday as long as the towels were returned.
The hotel is in a quiet part of Cala Millor, with the main bars being a 5-10 minute walk away (mainly German bars), although it does mean that Sa Coma is only about a 10-15 minute walk (Seemed to be more British oriented here).
The only real downside was the other clientele. The hotel was easily 90% German, and it did get tedious being looked down upon for speaking a foreign language - nothing at all to do with the staff, just the other guests.
Not ideal for travellers with young families.

When you book this hotel you know that it is not directly at the beach, but just 100 meters off.
The hotel is a true 5 star property,nice and large rooms, wonderful pool in a garden with enough sunchairs, very friendly staff. And the food makes it worth staying there. We spent 11 nights there and they offered a different choice of food every day. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, meat, whatever you like.
