Ubeda is a small town, almost a backwater in northern Andalucia.
However the centre of the old town has many superb renaissance buildings.
We ate at the Navarro, outside on the square, a fabulous pure Spanish experience.
The Menu del Dia was 12.50 euros but better than the expensive a la carte in Granada.
The waiter only spoke a little English but coped admirably with our request for a Gluten Free menu.
I can't fault the menu, the food or the service.
The whole experience was extremely memorable.
If you are touring the Sierra Magina or Cazorla area then this is an ideal place to eat in the evening.
