“Stunning Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is a must see place if visiting Fuengirola. Just a short local bus trip and you are there. The mountains, flowers , spectacular views acroos to the sea and plenty of shops selling wonderful leather handbags etc!!

“A square ring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Reputedly the only square bullring in Spain (it's not actually!) It sits in a delightful location at the top of the village close to the church and an excellent "mirador" from which one can survey the sprawling coastline. It is not large, but contains and interesting museum.

“Loved the Village, so much to see, and the Views!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This village is absolutely worth the trip. Explore it, if you can go on your own, would be better, as on a tour, everything is on a time line. We would so love to visit again. The whitewashed buildings, the leather shops, the restaurants, the views, are just amazing, on a bright blue sky day, one word "ah". Stop at the tourist office, get a map, donkey rides 2Euro's.

We did go to the bullring, there is an admission cost, so little, but so worth it, we were the only 2 inside, so got great pictures. The village square, so quaint.

All we can say, is check it out, you won't be sorry.

“What a pleasant surprise...so beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

This white-washed village is so quaint and beautiful. There is more to see than I would have imagined. Many shops, restaurants, gardens and much to see. I particularly enjoyed the bull ring. Having been told the bulls are not killed here, I was surprised at all the plaques noting the deaths of the bullfighters. What I enjoyed was, unlike Seville's bullring, I was allowed to walk anywhere including the ring itself and walk back to where the bulls would be held. It, like the village, is just as quaint, if one can describe a bull ring in this way. Mijas was a 15 minute taxi ride from Fuengirola and worth the trip. I wouldn't mind staying here. The views are spectacular.

“White washed village in the hills”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

We took the bus from Fuengirola - 1.50 euros each way and buses run every 30 mins. Nice drive up through the hills and then put down in the centre of the town. Fantastic views and the tourist office will supply a map with walks marked to take in the best attractions.I loved the donkeys parked in the shade under the car park. Some lovely independent shops here and many places to eat or have lunch.
