The lady who sold us the tickets was very nice, she allowed me to try asking for them in my ropy Portuguese, which I was determined to do, and replied clearly and slowly so I was able to understand her and finish the conversation in Portuguese! Little touches like that make a real difference. The tour was good, not overly long and it was lovely to taste two wines (one red and one white) at the end. At €5 we thought this was decent value. This winery is very easy to get to, it's one of the first ones you see after you cross the river from Porto, so it's a good one to visit if you don't feel like an uphill walk in the heat of the afternoon.
