“One of the best Italian Restaurants I have ever been to!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2012

This Italian Restaurant is authentic! We didn't have reservations and it was a Saturday night around 9:15; we were seated promptly by the owner, Fabio. The feel of the restaurant was very romantic, the lights were dimmed and there was music playing in the background... Our waiter was very prompt and did a great job taking our order and refilling our wine glasses...The food was amazing!! My boyfriend and I felt like we had died and gone to heaven with every bite we took of our food! I can't wait to go back and try some more entrees and I live about 3.5 hrs away!

“Outstanding food and service; great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2012

Three of us ate at Sirena in Norfolk, VA 4/16/2012. We had 5:30 pm reservations pre-theatre. We had read good recommendations on trip advisor, so, we tried and were so pleased at the absolute quality! Our guest is from Manhattan and he was amazed at the entire dining experience. The owner was present, and he was visible but not intrusive. Service was sensitive and very professional.

Appetizers were calamari (maybe best ever); gorgonzola salad; mixed salad; all very, very good.
Wine was medium priced white and it was a second choice, they were out of the first, and brought a hefty sample of the second to try.

Entrees were veal medallions; saltimbocca; fresh cod. All three were generous portions, beautifully prepared, served w/grilled vegetables. Had a side of caramelized brussel sprouts (don't turn your nose up -- really tasty!). We had cannoli for dessert; very crisp shells, filling just sweet enough, not cloying.

Sirena is maybe a mile from the Opera House, but, I'd take the car. Restaurant has private parking and there's street parking after 6 p.m. The interior is pretty, it's subdued and tables are well-spaced. There were a lot of patrons even at the 5:30 time; we were told that it gets quite crowded after 6:30 pm.

This restaurant is a find; we'll go back!

“dinner before a show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

We dined here on a Friday night, ahead of a performance at Chrysler Hall. The restaurant is right across from the venue. Sirena Cucina looks like a place Frank Sinatra would have frequented, some trendy 60s martini & cigar bar. The food was excellent & very reasonably priced. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu & helped us make excellent choices, given our likes & dislikes. The drinks from the bar were perfect as well. We made sure our server knew that we were going to an 8pm show and he made sure we got there.
