“Wonderful meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

When you want a good meal, ask a police officer for an opinion! They know all the good restaurants and that's how we were directed to The 219. We had wonderful dinner with great atmosphere and a very attentive staff.

“Restuarant week”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We had lunch there during restaurant week. We arrived early for our reservations, but they cheerfully gave us a table. We ordered off a special menu and chose a salad to start. We were served barely a half a cup of greens with the smallest diced tomatoes with a lemon tyme dressing. All we could taste was lemon juice sows opted for salt and pepper. We saw someone receive bread, so when Kelly, our server returned we asked about it and she brought us some. The rolls were delicious, light and tasty.
We thengot our main course. Mahi with spinach on top of mashed potatos. This was goof, but my husband's turkey panini was just OK. It was served with sweet potato fried, which were sprinkled with cinnamon. I liked theme, he did not. Our biggest disappointment was dessert. It was a chocolate chip brownie sundae with a drizzle of chocolate sauce. The brownie did not have very much flavor and was cold. The last time I was at 219 everything was wonderful every mouthful was a delight. We were so disappointed.

“Another good experience at 219.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We have dined at 219 many times over the years. The service has always been excellent. Last night we entered the restaurant and the hostess hung our coats and then seated us. A very nice convenience. Our waitress was always there when we needed her. My husband was very happy with his steak which had a delicious, very flavorful sauce. My flounder was a little overcooked but otherwise enhanced with a different sauce also very flavorful. The Crispy Fried Oysters appetizer and the Creme Brule dessert were outstanding. We go to 219 knowing that we will always enjoy the food and the service.

“Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

We were a little taken aback by the nondescript exterior, but the restaurant was as good as we had been told. It had some good wines, a very mixed menu, friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.
