I came here with a couple of friends for "Pride at the Park," on August 18, 2012. One of the nice things about the park is that it is conveniently located near several parking buildings (almost no free parking in the area) and MacArthur Mall. The Town Center Park is an open space with docks between the Nauticus and Waterside Mall.
Yep, on days when there's no event or the likes, the park can be quite dull after five minutes. Nothing for the kids, not even at the mall. Kinda depressing.
However, on days of events and stuff, the whole place comes to life. It has tents, places to go potty, scents of carnival type food, and a stage for all the performances. It can be awesome.
Take your pick-- it is a nice and versatitle place for the city of Norfolk.
