“Don't eat the food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

Max & Ruby restaurant had very poor service and food. We were very disappointed it took at least 45 min to get breakfast and then it was cold. You did not have enough staff working in the Bar and restaurant and you need to have better food very poor for the money you are charging.

We stayed for a soccer tournament and overall the hotel was fair at best. The restaurant's options were not very good and we would not recommend eating at the restaurant. Of greater annoyance was that the toilet in our room leaked constantly. The floor was wet due to this and maintenance did not fix the problem while we were there.

We had about 75 people in our party. The Restaurant and bar were excellent. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The staff was accommodating even into the wee hours of the night. you can't go wrong at this beautiful hotel

I had the pleasure to stay at the DoubleTree, and trust me, you talk about red carpet treatment! It was the best stay at a hotel I ever had! The staff is friendly and professional, and everyone greets you with a smile. I was there on business attending a conference, and I can tell you, once the conference was over, I could not wait to get back to the comfort of my room. Excellent view, quiet and truly relaxing experience. Yes, I will return!

This largish facility looks to be aimed towards business mini-conventions or larger meetings. The room was very nice, somewhat strange mid-century modern, but clean and very nice in balance. They DO to work on the interface with diners at Breakfast. It was an awkward experience, trying apparently to blend full service with a buffet. Many of us that morning had no idea and foundered. Food was institutional and some cold and rubbery, with with uncertain seating arrangements, all made this nice room less appealing after breakfast.

The front desk staff was very helpful, esp with a late night arrival. The room was very nice. Bathroom was a little smaller than I enjoy, but functional for one person. The housekeeping staff kept it in great shape all week.

This used to be a Hilton, old and tired. Now remade as a Doubletree with all the fresh feeling of a new hotel. Ambiance is great, rooms are fresh and redone. Staff is great and freindly. Max and Erma's is still there and ready to serve. If you are looking for a great place near the airport, this is where to stay.
