Stayed here to attend a Christmas dinner in the area. The price was right (49.00), but we got what we paid for. This seems to be the party hotel for either college kids or young military. The room was aged, yet clean. This was a very noisy stay with several parties going on downstairs. I think they try to keep party folks on the bottom floors. Cars were racing through the parking lot, folks were yelling and arguing until about 4:00am. The office is separated from the actual hotel so they don't hear the nonsense going on during the night. We were worried about our vehicle in the parking lot with all the cars racing through but were uncomfortable approaching any of the participants. At several points during the night we fully expected to hear gunshots. We talked to the office again during checkout and they were pretty nonchalant about the events. This gave us the impression the younger party set might make up some of their winter business. Would I stay again, no. I'd pay the price to get a quieter room somewhere else.

The owner of the hotel was very nice and the place was semi-clean, but that was about it. My car got broken into while I was staying there. It is in a terrible section of town. The hotel does not have cameras outside so they could not catch the thieves. They did not do anything to help except to tell me to call the police. They did not even come out to see what happened. There were people running around the hotel until past 4 in the morning making so much noise that they woke me up both nights I stayed there. Also, there were also people hanging around outside of the hotel everytime I pulled up who obviously were not staying there. I never felt safe. Saving the extra $50 dollars to stay here was not worth the money I've lost and all the trouble I have had to go through to get my car fixed.

I stayed here with my husband because we had an early flight out of Norfolk and my uncle's house (whom we were visiting) was too far away to drive. I wish we'd sprung the extra couple bucks and taken a later flight! This hotel was disgusting. My first impression was awful... when checking in, I asked the desk clerk where the airport was and she didn't know. Funny, because at the time, the hotel was called "Days Inn Norfolk - Airport". So the staff were obviously clueless (it turns out that the airport is only about 1.5 miles away, too). Also at that time, I asked for shuttle service to the airport in the morning (advertised as complimentary), and their van had broken down, supposedly. That was it... no offer to call a cab for us or anything like that. So we had to deal with that issue (and the stress of waiting outside for a cab at 5 in the morning, just HOPING it would show up). Next, we walked up to our room and noticed that the stairwell stunk strongly of urine. Our room was only marginally clean and I'm surprised I slept at all, if I did. Unless you're absolutely desparate, I'd recommend you avoid this hotel at all costs.
