“Very Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2010

Stayed 10 nights. We had a double room on 7th floor, from large balcony you could see the sea and the pool.
Room- Reasonable size, double bed, chair & TV. Ensuite - good sized with toilet, shower and wash basin
Towels changed daily, bed made and room cleaned. Plenty of storage.
One lift or stairs
Breakfast - excellent, full range of cereals, Tea /coffee, meat, cheese, yoghurt, croissants, cakes etc - changed daily
Hotel - good bar - in 10 nights had live music 4 times at 9pm- only saw resaurant used 1 night - 8 people ate there then and despite having a menu the other nights no one ate there.
Pool area was good - decent sized pool and seats/loungers
You get free lounger, chair and umbrella on the beach as part of the deal
Very clean and modern hotel - cost us £100 a night for 2 with breakfast ( after exchange rate)

150m from beach plenty good eateries, bars, ice cream parlours nearby

Totally recommend this place

Staff v friendly - had a feel of a family run hotel

I booked this hotel after reading reviews on this site and wasn't disappointed. It's in an excellent location, close to the beach and many nice restaurants, in what we decided was the nicest part of Lido. The pool area is quite small but was never crowded, probably because the beach is so popular. We only had a room not an apartment but it was modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Also, there were no extras to pay for, free air-conditioning, sunbeds and electronic safe, which in my experience is rare. The buffet breakfast was a big hit with my teenage daughters as it included gorgeous chocolate cake and lemon tart! Travelling from the hotel is easy and cheap. The bus stop is behind the hotel and a bus runs every 20 mins to the bus station at Piazza Drago, from where you can travel on to Venice (an absolute must), the water park etc. The only thing we didn't like was that everyone assumed we were german as there weren't many english people about. All in all The Sheila is a lovely little hotel, and we'll definitely be going back next year.

A lovely aparthotel, with 2 shower rooms (with bidets in both), 2 tvs, a fully equipped kitchenette. Very well situated - it was in the best part of the resort. It was very clean and had a lovely pool area with a bar. I cannot fault the hotel apart from their reluctance to cash travellers cheques. They referred me to their sister hotel as they didn't keep any euros, however the sister hotel was even more reluctant to cash them, and referred us to the bank. Although this is a busy resort with hundreds of thousands of tourists, be warned that only Thomas Cook and Thompsons only take 400 British there a week, so there may not be any in your hotel while you are there (there were only 10 British in the hotel when we were there - and that included us three).

What an amazing hotel this was!
Ideal for a holiday to Italy located nearby to the beach and many other tourist attractions including Venice, Verona and Jesolo Village. If you wanted to travel a little further afield, there is always Lake Garda, with some absolutely fantastic scenery and views.

A quick walk from the hotel and you're at the beach. Each hotel in the area has its own designated area of the beach (which is approximately 11 miles long), Hotel Sheila has an area for its holiday makers to sunbathe down by the sea, or sit and relax!

The hotel was recently refurbished in 2006, and has been well looked after since. Each apartment has its own balcony area, perfect for sitting out on to watch the sunset after a busy day of touring!

Public transport is also very easy to get to. The bus stop is a short walk away although you have to buy your bus passes from the local newsagents. We used the buses to get to Punta Sabbioni (where the ferry docks from) and from there, the ferry takes you directly to Venice whereby you can tour St. Marcs Square, and the narrow alleyways of shops and restaurants; Or even over the bridges to watch Gondolas travelling below you. Venice is a place you must visit, if you have time!

If you booked Self Catering, then try out some of the nice restaurants in the surrounding area, there’s plenty of restaurants and snack bars along the main street for you to keep busy!
At night time, the main street opens up and becomes pedestrianised, so that no vehicles are allowed to pass through; all of the shops, restaurants and bars open so that you’re free to explore at your own pleasure!

Going back to the hotel, the rooms are very spacious, in the main room, the bed can be folded away to form a sofa, and the spare bed also pulls down from what looks like a cupboard!
The kitchen came fully equipped with all of the necessary utensils, a microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, oven hobbs and a dishwasher (if you’re going to use the dishwasher, bring some tablets along, these can be difficult to locate in the Italian supermarkets!). Also equipped in both rooms were LCD TVs, with a wide selection of channels, including Sky News & BBC News and electric lockers, which are provided free of charge to keep any valuables safe during your stay.

Both rooms had separate balconies, which could be accessed via the rear of the rooms. The doors onto the balcony and windows all had electric shutters, enabling you to press a button to expand or retract them. When closed, they keep the room sound-proofed so you can’t hear anything that’s going on outside. The balconies both had tables and chairs, thus the main balcony included a washing maiden.
The pool in the hotel is relatively large and is open until midnight, allowing you to relax perfectly on a hot summer’s day in Jesolo – although be warned, it can be cold at night!

To sum up, Aparthotel Sheila is a very nice, modern, clean hotel, close to many tourist attractions and local amenities or areas of interest. All of the staff members were very friendly, polite and helpful throughout the course of our stay.
I’d recommend this hotel to any families wishing to travel to a part of Europe with nice weather (in the warmer months) and visit some local attractions.
Alternatively, if you’d just like a quiet holiday by the pool or on the beach, the Sheila Hotel is for you!

Just returned from a weeks stay at the hotel, on arrival you have to pay a deposit of 100 euros which is refundable on checkout. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious, pool area was small and private and quiet throughout the day, the pool is not very deep and there is also a childrens section. The beach is less than 5 mins walk away and is very
clean and also gives you 2 chairs, parasol and table. The resort becomes very busy in the evening especially at weekends.
This hotel is in an ideal location and is rated fairly as a 4 star self catering. We only received maid service once which meant that we had to clean the apartment the rest of the time. The room will be inspected on your checkout so you have to make sure that this is left clean as the hotel staff are quite strict on their inspection, this will determine if they refund your deposit.
This is ideal for families and couples and everything you need is all within a 5 min walk

If you want to get away from the standard package holiday to Italy, this is the place to stay.
You have all the advantages of a hotel, private pool with loungers at no extra charge and the same on the beach front. Nice bar and breakfast area.
But have the advantage of being able to get up when you want to and eat when you want.
For two of us it was perfect, bedroom with ensuite bathroom and another separate bathroom off the living area. Two very large balconies and very very clean. The kitchenette was well stocked.
The local restaurants were all lovely and we were spoilt for choice.
Plenty of local shops at prices lower than home for better quality produce.

Venice was about an hour and a half away on public transport( two buses and a ferry)

Would I stay here again definately but take plenty of mosquito repellent

This hotel was nice and clean, staff were always friendly, only thing that happened was they didnt give us a key to the other part of our apartment so for the first 4 days we thought ours was a lot smaller than it actually was. Also the shower leaked quite alot we had to call the staff up but this seemed to be a problem with most of the apartments...

Would definatly stay in this hotel again if i went back to jesolo lido although i doubt i'd go back, didnt like the place at all. Just got a little bored.
