Description: .In 1729 Giovanni Battista Falorni founded Antica Macelleria Falorni in Greve in Chianti. After 279 years the eighth generation (represented by brothers Lorenzo and Stefano Falorni Bencistà) is still at work in a place where everything is unchanged, even the sign caught the first pictures in black and white. The passion for work and for the preservation of traditional products are handed down from father to son along with the secrets of working, which are essential forbest results. The secret is the quality of the raw material: the meat. The focus on local races for the Italian beef for the Cinta Senese pig and wild boar for the use of those present for millennia in the woods of Tuscany and Chianti in particular, has always been the basis for obtaining exclusive. As for flavor, nature has provided an abundance of Chianti uncommon: fennel, juniper, bay leaves, garlic, parsley, sage, rosemary, to name just the most used. The diversity has enabledthe creation of typical, fragrant and harmonious personality, made even more special by the addition of Chianti Classico wine in certain products such as sausages and salami typical grevigiano addition to conferring a flavor and aroma unique that can only enhance and strengthen the character of these products.

“Nice wine bar.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2014

We enjoyed a Ten euro wine card tasting. We also purchased some vacuum packed meats which were confiscated by the US Customs and Border Patrol. We forgot about the form which asks if you have any meats, not permitted. Save your money and don't buy the vacuum packed. Just purchase and plan to eat....We wasted about 38 euros which was very disappointing.

Very good options for food. Any salami you want, you will have! The wine is sold by a pre-paid card.

“Wonderful deli and delicatessen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

This deli/butcher-shop/delicatessen has a wide variety of meats, sausages, cheeses, wines and everything good about Italy specifically and life in general.
You can go in for a quick souvenir run, or for some major shopping.
Don't miss the excellent cheese cellar with some extra-aged versions of Italian cheeses.
The shop is located in the main square of the major village of the Chianti region , so expect prices to be adjusted for tourists. It's hard to estimate how much you will spend, as it depends entirely on how greedy you are, but it's definitely worth a visit.

“Great stop for mid afternoon on your trip into Chianti! Wine and delicious antipasti”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

Stopped by chance here taking a turn off the main road. Time to kill. Thankful we did this!!

Very cleverly drawn store features sale of salumi and wine and has outdoor seating to allow you to sample both at various price points. We had two antipasti platters and various wines served by the pour size option from high tech machines you put a card into, then button choice your pour size and wine. Very cool!

We enjoyed the sense of adventure and flavor on the main square in Greve. Make it a stop on your excursion down SR222, the Chianti highway from Florence to Siena. Beautiful drive!
