“Good food, quiet surroundings in a nice town.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Propably the best Pizza in Chianti. Amazing that something as borring as a Margarita can taste that good.

Trattoria d'i Borgo is run by three people only where the father and son are serving, and they are both very plesent and helpfull (even though only one of them speak english).

Serving was relatively quick. Between 15 and 20 minutes for three persons and we all got our food at the same time.

As it was very hot in late august we only sat outside but it was also nice as the place is nicely decorated and the small street is mainly for pedestrians and only one or two cars passed the whole evening.

We went to the restaurant several times during our week in Greve and both pasta(which i'm quite sure was homemade) and pizza was very good.

The pricetag we thought was a bit high but it was because the first night we only had Spaghetteria Pizzeria Via Veneto(also reviewed in Tripadv.) to compare with but a pizza Margarita for EUR 5,50 can not really be called pricy, at least not for a dane who is used to at least 8 EUR.

Only negative, but that is for whole Italy I think, is the service charge of 1,50 EUR per person which you have to calculate in when you look at the menys...

First night we tried to pay with creditcard but after several atempt we went over to cash. Apparently the entire city is a dark spot regarding creditcard terminals, as we also ended up going to the ATM when paying for the hotel we stayed at.

“Excellent find off the centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

Situated a little off the main square and hence less expensive, we lunched outside in the shade. Great service, lovely food and great Tiramasu.

“Enjoy your traditional italian dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

We enjoyed several lunch and dinner in this restaurant and we re never been disappointed.
Typical toscan dishes, good taste for a moderate price,
we highly recommand the delightful homemade tiramisu which is really homemade !!!!!
The good point is the location of this reataurant, it s located in a pedestrial street so you dont eat close to the car street, and you stand in a peaceful atmosphere.

“Best Pizza in Chianti!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

Every now and then you discover the most wonderful restaurants purely by accident and this is how we discovered Trattoria d'i Borgo. After exploring the square, take a walk down the side street and have lunch at the Trattoria. The pizza is truly the best we had in Italy, thin, hot, crispy and so tasty. The patio is quaint and the service is fantastic.
