“Alberobello at it's finest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2010

This B&B is just perfect. Daniela is gracious and accommodating (and patient with me when I got lost) and is a real credit to tourism in Alberobello. Where do I start......

Firstly, I was fortunate enough to have the whole trullo to myself for 2 nights. Felt right at home. Beautifully furnished and quiet, I enjoyed the comfort of the green room. It is close to everything worth seeing and only a 15 minute walk from the station. The breakfasts were lovely and Daniela provided all the info I needed and assisted in arranging a transfer for me on the last day of my stay. Free wifi as well. A beautiful terrace for breakfast in the warmer months would provide great views while eating, it certainly was enjoyable to me even in the colder month.

My only complaint was the weather, something Daniela could not control. But you know what - when a thunderstorm hit one afternoon at 4:00 and I could hear people running for cover - I was snug and warm in my personal Trullo.

Thanks Daniela - highly recommended and will return again when I can.

Two things make Pietradimora special: One is Daniela, who couldn't be more thoughtful and helpful. Everything she did (from her advice to her excellent breakfasts to her first-rate interior design) was just about perfect. The other is the B&B itself: It's just off the main part of town, but yet is quiet. Staying in Daniela's trulli - with their rounded, pointed ceilings, their massive four foot thick walls, the garden, the upper deck with its extraordinary views - is unique, relaxing, and enjoyable. We can't recommend it enough.

Lived up to what I read in other reviews. Daniela was the host with the most. The breakfast was fantastic - the tarts were yummy. She even arranged a booking in Locorotondo for us. Secure place for our bikes as well. Fabulous. Would be my first choice.

We booked a 2 night stay at Pietradimora after reading favourable reviews on Tripadvisor and found it was all it was cracked up to be. Initially we had some problems finding it and the nearby carpark as some of the roads in the centre of Alberobello were closed as a result of events due to take place over the weekend. When we eventually found our way, we were delighted to see that Pietradimora is in a very good location at the heart of the trulli area with a public carpark a short walk away. We had phoned Daniela to let her know we had arrived in Alberobello and she was waiting for us when we got to Pietradimora. She gave us a very warm welcome, showed us to our room, offered us a drink and was generally very friendly and helpful. The room, the yellow room and the cheapest of the three available, was pleasant although small, with an open wooden staircase in the corner leading up to the bathroom. The fittings were of a high quality and tasteful. There are three terraces outside with tables, chairs and sunbeds if the weather is up to it. We were the only guests on our first night but the second night, all three rooms were occupied. Breakfast, served outside if it's warm enough, included fruit, yoghurt, croissants, a fruit tart etc as well as good coffee and was served by Daniela. All in all we were delighted with Pietradimora, would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to our friends. At E100 a night, it wasn't cheap for a B&B; on the other hand Alberobello is a very well known tourist destination and prices are bound to reflect this.

OK, it's only private if you are lucky enough, as we and the previous reviewer were, to have the property to yourself.
As word spreads, this will become a rarer and rarer occurrence. But even when full, you will only be sharing with 2 other couples.
The renovation of this lovely, perfectly situated trulli in the heart of the South side of town, is luxurious and sympathetic.
Daniella is the lynch pin that makes it perfection. Her dedication in looking after her guests is the thing that separates extra special from OK.
We were there for 2 nights 28-30 December, outside temperatures down to 4C at night but we were warm as toast inside. The trulli cone above the bed radiates cold but the underfloor heating beats it back.
This is a very special place, forget the usual types of B&B, this ranks alongside Zuzabed in Lisbon as one of the special almost private residences in which to stay.

This bed and breakfast is in a fabulous location in Alberobello - you couldn't get much better! It is in the heart this world heritage site amongst many other trullo. The charm of the area cannot be underestimated. Location is perfect to explore this beautiful town.

The welcome we received from Daniella on arrival was fantastic - I think she heard us walk up the street from where we had parked our car! She doesn't stay on site but this meant at times we had the entire B&B to ourselves. Every morning she was there throughout our breakfast and couldn't have been more helpful - recommending places to visit and eat during our stay.

Our room was the trullo suite which meant we had a wonderful trullo bedroom, a lounge area and bathroom with a jacuzzi bath with shower over. This suites decor and cleanliness was outstanding - indeeed the rest of the accomodation is equally first class. It was sometimes chilly during our stay but this stone building was always heated well and we could control the heating in our room (including the underfloor heating - which helps with bare feet on the stone floors on the chillier evenings!).

The breakfast offered was ample and varied - we were served in one of the little outside areas on one day when the morning was fine - which exclusive to us, othewise in the breakfast room. Everyday a typical Italian breakfast was served with plenty of sweet pastries/cake/bread/croissants alongside a selection of fruit and yogurts and jams/nutella. This was all complimented by Daniellas ample supply of cappuccinos (or coffee whichever way you like it!) - tea and fruit tea was available if that is your prefence.

This b&b has only a few rooms which means the public areas were rarely occupied and was nice and quiet, despite being in the heart of the historical part of the town.

Fabulous B&B- and would hope to stay again - I can't recommend it enough.

We had to write a review as we thought that this B&B was the best that we stayed in during our month in Italy. This B&B was originally several trulli which have been tastefully renovated and made into a luxurious accommodation. Daniella met us at the door and had waited for us to arrive from the train station. The rooms are beautiful and Daniella set up trips for us, recommended restaurants , and provided first class breakfasts and hospitality. We cannot say anything negative about this B&B, it was the best! If we were planning a trip to Alberobello, we would definitely stay here again. It is in the heart of the Trulli area and close to many great restaurants.
