Whilst well sign posted as you come into town by car,it could be quite a walk from the train station as VM is on a hill. If you come in at the top street entrance there is a lift , a must for luggage, otherwise there are quite steep stairs at the front and if you stay in the main home there are about 20 internal stairs to level 2. Our room was pleasantly simple and very clean, the bathroom was small and shower very small, but we had a lovely balcony that faced the ocean (about 600 meters away), where sitting with a bottle of red and some of the local cheeses, pesto ,salamis and fresh bread makes a great meal, there are some fabulous delicatessens in town.
The road is directly below ,but the nights were quiet in November, love the church bells. We walked easily into town, leaving the car in the secure garage ( you don't need the car as Levanto can easily be walked or hire a bike for the disused rail tunnel ride to the west (wonderful fun) or catch the train for the Cinqua Terra (the walk was not open at all when we were there) .Breakfast was in the dining room downstairs, warm baked goods, yoghurt, ham, cheese, salami, cereals and any coffee you like. Lovely service from all the staff . Villa has a beautiful garden, wi fi was a bit temperamental upstairs but downstairs was fine. Good value for money.
Ask to look at the various rooms, they are different.
