“beautiful, cozy hotel; great non-tourist-trap location near cinque terre, lovely staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2010

I traveled here with a friend in June and our main goal was to hike in Cinque Terre. Ended up booking here because all the hotels in the Cinque Terre towns that were under 500 euros/night were booked, and I'm glad because:
1. This location is MUCH better. Tourists are like lemmings in the Cinque Terre area and we were glad to be a quick train ride (5-10 minutes) away from the crowds.
2. The hike from Levanto into the first town was the best part--about 3 hours and awesome views and little traffic.
3. The couple that owns the hotel is lovely. Sylvia gave us perfect recommendations as to how to spend our limited time there--and she was spot-on.
4. The rooms are cozy and very zen.
5. The breakfasts were long and yummy. Even got scrambled eggs. Pastries, cheese, coffee, and an outdoor space to eat.
6. This place was a convenient walk from the train station (less than 10 minutes)
7. close to the beach in Levanto.
8. Levanto is so much more "real" than the other towns (meaning fewer tourists, more authentic)

The only negative is that the bathroom drain in our room drained REALLY slow so we had to shut off the shower every minute or so to avoid overflowing the shower into the whole bathroom. Otherwise the rooms were clean and well-kept. Also, they apparently had free wireless, but I was unable to access it from my Iphone for whatever reason. They also had a laptop that was free to use.

From arrival to departure our time at Oasi was excellent. Our ground floor garden room was of a good size with well appointed en-suite shower room. The room was cleaned to a high standard very day. The young owners were welcoming and helpful and always smiling. French, German, English, Spanish and of course Italian were spoken with ease. Breakfast was excellent and drinks were always available at the bar.

All in all a fantastic experience.

We loved this hotel, only 3 years old so all is new. Close to the train and ferry to view the 5 villages. The only complaint is the pillows are flat and hard. Sylvia & Herb are wonderful hosts and we would definately stay here again.

Using Levanto as our base to the Cinque Terre, we stayed 3 nights at this clean, well cared for boutique like hotel (14 rooms?) not far from the train station or the center of town. I believe this place is relatively new (2-3 years) old or renamed and refurbished. Easy access to everything. Silvia and her husband are a couple that take pride in the maintenance of the hotel and in caring for their guests. They were extremely helpful in reviewing our intinerary making comments as to the best scenery, transportation and side trips. Breakfast was wonderful. They had the basic breakfast food plus things made to order for you at no charge. They had umbrellas to borrow if the weather turned and even a boot/brush cleaning as you entered to keep the wooden floors, etc. in clean condition. Some good food in town as well. Very good dining (cash only-reservations suggested) at Ristorante Da Rino- a short walk from the hotel.

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Oasi Hotel just last month. We chose this place because it is less than a 10 minute walk to the train station and very easy to take the train to Cinque Terre from here. The rooms in Oasi are very clean and modern, and the bathroom is a good size with a nice shower. The breakfast we had was one of the best we have had in Europe, and we have traveled all over the EU! There were various kinds of bread including a delicious foccacia, yogurt, cereal, fresh frut, cheeses, ham/bacon, eggs cooked to order, and great coffee. This is a great place to stay if you are planning to explore Cinque Terre, and the town of Levanto is a gem in its own right!

The Oasi Hotel was one of the newest, cleanest hotels we have stayed at in Europe. We chose it for our quick stop in Cinque Terre because it was easier access by rental car and a quick train ride to all the Cinque Terre stops. We loved the modern rooms. The only minor disappointment was that the front desk staff seemed a bit aloof when we asked for restaurant guidance. The balconies are a great addition when the weather is nice. We did not use it due to the cold weather.
