“Friendly staff, good location, very kitch style”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

We spent there a few days in December. The staff are a real asset, very kind and friendly. The swimming pool is quite small but acceptable. The hotel is very clean, rooms are large, I just would like to meet the architect...the hotel has the most horrible kitch style you can imagine. Breakfast buffet is very good.

We visited as a family with small child. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and patient. We all enjoyed the food, the choice was great particularly the buffett. Location was super. Loved the roof top pool which was so warm. Indoor thermal pool was good. Very clean.

Right from stepping into the lobby we were welcomed with open arms. The manager was so kind, spoke excellent English and couldn't do enough for us. Diego, who was on the front desk, helped us out with a few hiccups with the Wi Fi and refused to give up until it was running smoothly and wouldn't charge us a penny because it hadn't been 'perfect'.
The breakfast offered a vast choice, which included eggs, cheese, ham and lashings of fresh fruit for those of us who can't face all those wonderful sweet goods first thing in the morning.
We had a lovely room and balcony overlooking the harbour. It was so convenient both for the hydrofoil to Naples and for the wonderful choice of harbourside restaurants. The room was spotless and recently refurbished.
Then of course we had to take advantage of the hot thermal bath. Wonderful massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. The spa was staffed by two lovely ladies, Tamara and Rosanna. They thoroughly spoiled us and we were given a 50% discount on all the services!
One evening we returned quite late and the night concierge very kindly provided us with some sweets whilst wishing us sweet dreams. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony and harbour view.

This hotel is ideally situated for everything. The ferries are close by as is the pedestrianised shopping area and the bus station. Our room was on the third floor - a superior room with a balcony overlooking the harbour. The room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space especially since we were staying for a week. In addition there was a good-sized bathroom with shower instead of a bath - we preferred a shower. We can certainly recommend the restaurant. Breakfast was buffet style with a huge choice and the staff will make you an omelette should you want one. And for those with a sweet tooth (as it seems many Italians have) there is always a huge selection of cakes, doughnuts, pastries etc! We opted for half-board and were not disappointed - the evening meals were excellent with plenty of choice. We can also recommend the local Ischitana wines! The hotel is managed by Luisa who together with her staff does a great job. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Location is good. No free internet. On room 311 there was a very strong smells of mildew in the entrance inside of room and closet to the point that we left balcony door open to get fresh air. At night with the doors closed, the smells was strong again. You can see water damage from the ceiling. Shower needs bleach and scrubbing. Light switch in bathroom would work occasionally. When you flush the toilet, it keeps going on and on. We complained and manager wanted to give us a free stay next time but no adjustment on this reservation. We stayed there just 1 night. We said we are not going back to that part of Italy again, and she gave us anyways, which was useless. The thermal water pool that they have inside is not impressive. When you walk in the direction of 2nd floor entrance, you can smells humidity.

My husband and i have just returned from this wonderful hotel and cannot recomend it highly enough. From initially booking it Luisa , the Manager , patiently dealt with my frequent e-mails and questions and was as helpful on our arrival. All the staff were , friendly , professional and eager to help at every oppurtunity. All our transfers were arranged with the hotel and were faultless and very efficient. On arrival we were shown the Spa and roof terrace rather than being left to work it out yorself which often happens. We both had a treatment during our stay and again the staff were wonderful even fitting my husband in at short notice when i had incorrectly only booked one session. We had booked a Deluxe room on the 4th floor with a private terrace which overlooked the port. The room was spotless of a good size with both TV and a computer. The bathroom was well stocked , towels changed frequently and the view from the terrace both during the day and in the evening was fantastic. The room was surprisingly very quiet considering its proximity to the port and it was great fun watching the day to day business unfolding below you. The hotel is ideal for a wide selection of retaurants and the main shopping area is just around the corner.
As we had the B&B option i can't comment on anything more than the breakfast but wow I've never seen such a choice ; everything from meats, cheese, eggs, fruit ,yoghurts to the most fantastic looking cakes, sponges, doughnuts and the biggest criossants I've ever seen. It was amazing , always being refreshed with plenty of fresh coffee.
All in all this hotel is unbeatable value , has an excellent location and the staff are a pleasure to meet. Luisa , who always seems to be there , is a gem and should be congratulated on her hotel and her staff.

Room Tip: Worth booking a 4th floor Deluxe room for the private terrace and the view of the port.

We recently stayed at the Aragona Palace Hotel in Ischia and cannot praise it enough. The hotel offered unbeatable value with outstanding customer care from all the staff. The hotel is ideally situated close to the port and only a short walk to the designer shops and local bars/cafes.
We had a room on the third floor overlooking the port, west facing, so beautiful sun in the afternoon & evening. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious and the bathroom well equipped with bath robes. slippers and a range of necessities.
We stayed half board so had the set menu for dinner, the menu was varied (written in English if required) and the standard of food was very high and compared favourably with the more expensive "5* Grand Hotels" on the Island (I speak from experience)!
The Hotel has a very nice sun bathing area on the roof of the Hotel with a small, but adequate swimming pool. The pool side bar provides drinks and snacks which can be ordered on the bar telephone, the meals are competitively priced and in some cases are cheaper that the local snack bars.
The Spa pool is very impressive offering a wide range of treatments, the staff were knowledgeable and very attentive.
To summarise, the hotel management should be commended on their professionalism, which made the holiday extremely enjoyable.
