We bought a Groupon voucher and the expectation was not high. We arrived prepared and convinced that we would have a ball beside the eventual badness of the place. However prepared, we found the worst case scenario: a mouldy pool - that may have been used a year or two ago - and waterless (we went at the end of June, not off-season!), a rich breakfast (as advertised on their website) consisted of left over bread, orzo (a drink made from oat) instead of espresso, UHT juices (do they exist?) and off date jam to mention just few. The room was claustrophobic facing a busy road with traffic 24/7, with a big AC device which cost 7E a day. The voucher included one dinner with a set menu. I am coeliac and dairy intolerant. I emailed to notify the staff a week before arrival, followed by a call. I was asked to bring soya milk, cereal, biscuits, bread and pasta. They would supply rice (which is generally not lacking!). Even if I kindly asked to provide at least soya milk as I was travelling from Rome. It was a vain attempt. How can a three stars hotel not provide a WiFi connection in 2012? And Ischia has free hotspots WiFi. In addition to this, the information contained in its website is deceivable http://www.hoteltermestellamaris.it/ The staff is not welcoming nor showing tendency to help the island tourism. One of the receptionists (Valentina) is very stroppy, condescending and not experienced with customer service.
