Hesitate to tell you you about our favourite holiday destination in case we can't get booked next time we are coming. Fantastic setting & wonderful staff. Pippo (Goofy) the perfect host who will do everything he can to make it a perfect stay always with a big smile. Peppe, the chef & gardener cooks simple but beautiful dishes & Lucia ensures the hotel is spotless. All staff combine to make this family run hotel an idyllic escape.

The Pensione has a lovely pool & terrace with stunning views as well as small thermal pool & steam room.
Even without a car it is possible to see this beautiful island either walking or using local buses, taxis or boat trips to visit lovely resorts & beaches.

If all the reviews are too good, I always try to be alert. But it was really a good stay I had, and I want to be informative as much as possible.

*Location; 10 minutes from Ischia Porto, 5 minutes from Casamicciola Porto by car. Hotel will come to pick you up if you notify them the time of your arrival. It's on the hill, means nice views, but not close to the beach. Easily walk down to Lacco Ameno, then walk along the seaside to east you can reach to Casamicciola. Coming back, because of uphill, better to use bus. There is ample parking space, if you want to rent a car for one or two days, they can arrange for it. But the streets around the hotel are so narrow, unless you are local not so comfortable to drive, nor you really do not need much if just staying the area to relax.

*Property; Beautifully situated, comfortable outside patios full of flowers and greens, very well maintained, and cozy inside lounge with TVs. You can have coffee or beer in the afternoon there, really so good atmosphere. No TVs in the rooms, which I like because you don't have to be bothered by next room guest's TV sound. As long as I can have wifi in the room, I don't need TV.

*Facility; Outside pool, indoor thermal bath and steamed sauna. Nice!!!

*Food; I had half board, breakfast and <lunch or dinner>. Breakfast is simple, cereal, bread, cakes and yogurt. Kind of disappointed first day, but I learned later that they can make you eggs, ham, cheese or fruits on request, very practical because most European people do not eat much for breakfast, thus don't make sense to put all those on the table from early morning. You just need to ask.

Every morning, you will notify them whether you take lunch or dinner according to the menu posted in the morning. They can accommodate your preference as much as possible. For example if you want dinner's fish for your lunch, most cases they can do for you. For some other cases, they may not be able, so do not insist… You can request salad instead of pasta, which is even good choice after eating too much in Italy. By the way, chef is very good, in fact you don't need to go outside to eat...

Lunch and dinner are served at the specific time, you go to the dining room with the sound of bell. This is pension style, I did not know, you always eat with other guests at the same time.

*Room; Rooms are all different with sizes. Mine was very good with nice view of sea. There was AC, if you need to turn on, additional fee applies. Some rooms do not have AC? I did not need in the middle of May.

Just be attentive one thing, because floors are all tiled(hard surface), sound echoes all around the building. Voices in the ground floor lounge echo if people are loud, or you hear upstair room people walking.

Over all, very good hotel as all the other reviewers wrote. Nice hospitality I received.

Pippo the owner and the two waiters are fantastic always ready to help.
Wonderful view and nice evening meals.
There is a beautiful outside pool and an inside hot thermal bath with a separate steam bath and japanese bath very, very nice clean and pleasurable.
The last evenings we were surprised with napoletan music folklore and sweets with local liquers and it was wonderful! Also we asked to have rabbit and they cooked for us!
We will love to come back.

Room Tip: You need to use the bus which are not very good in Ischia to go out as it is in a stip hill but it i...

We loved the Hotel Monti. We booked 2 rooms, one for my boyfriend and I and one for his parents in July. We were all very pleased. The grounds were beautifully kept. The flowers were beautiful. The pool was very relaxing and had a great view down to the sea. The owner was very pleasant and was there for us when we needed his advice. The rooms were very clean and cute. We had lunch the there the day we arrived and it was delicious. We would definitely go back again!

We stayed here for only one night, but could've stayed much longer. The overall ambiance of the hotel was lovely, the service from the wonderful staff was excellent, the view from the room was great, and the price for all of this was fantastic and worth every penny. The staff immediately gave us tips on how to get around the island and how the bus system worked. We were able to take a 10 Euro cab from the Casamicciola port up to the hotel and then figured out how to get around on the bus. When we had fallen asleep after a long day at Negombo, the staff called up to make sure we didn't miss dinner. Very thoughtful. You're not getting anything too fancy, but you are getting a comfortable, clean, and beautiful stay for an excellent price!

Beautiful place. Good Italian food, friendly staff, beautiful views .... I fondly recall the maid and night watchman who speaks very good English. We will return!

We have just come back from the Pensione Monti and we must admit that it is really a marvellous place. We had a great time there! The hotel is up on a hill and there is a wonderful view from almost all the rooms on one of Ischia’s bay. The landscape from there is really astonishing and the place is extremely clean and surrounded by flowers. Even though the hotel Monti is not big, it has all the facilities a traveller may need. There is also a small thermal centre in the basement and a big swimming pool which allows the customer to sunbathing without moving from the place. The owner of the hotel is really friendly and helps his hosts as much as he can, he knows everything of Ischia and can give good tips for thermal centres, restaurants and pizzerias. The main towns are reachable on foot (Lacco Ameno) and with the taxi (Ischia, Casamicciola). In any case there is a bus line that stops 100 meters from the entrance of the hotel. We have decided to have the half board and the food was good and very genuine. I like almost everything, my tastes are very basic and sometimes I asked only for half portions. In any case the restaurant staff is always ready to accept change on menus or give bigger positions if asked.
I warmly suggest to choose this accommodation if you would like to taste the real Ischia spirit and to spend some days relaxing in a natural and friendly environment !
